What is is with our obsessions with Holes in the ground?
Did it start with Baby Jessica? Or have we always been consumed with wayward object gone astray, subterranean people and things?
It's a hole for Christ sakes, grab a shovel, and put down your cameras.

    I think it's the same mentality as grave markers. It memorializes an event.
