You tell ‘em Joe!

“We aren’t asking you to switch your party,” Biden said at a rally for Democrat Bill Owens in Watertown, New York Monday morning. “We are just saying join us in teaching a lesson to those absolutists who say no dissent is permitted within your own party.”
The comments come a day after Republican Dede Scozzafava, who withdrew from the race Saturday amid heavy pressure from conservatives - endorsed Owens. Many high-profile Republicans, including Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Dick Armey, have already thrown their own support behind third-party conservative candidate Doug Hoffman.

In his remarks at the rally for Owens, Biden elicited boos from the crowd when he mentioned Palin, Limbaugh and Armey.
So lemme get this straight, Joe is telling the Republicans, to vote against the “Republicans” and so is every GOP leader in the GOP?
In fact the GOP candidate is running on an Independent ticket!
He then did his best Bull Winkle impersonation…

This is just more proof there is no meaningful difference between Dems and GOP. In the past year a senator switches parties in midstream, now GOP crony candidate is forced to withdraw and then throws her support to the Democrat. Come on, it is time for and end to the Democrat-Republican monopoly of gridlock, pandering to special interests and ever growing debt.
Still there are at least two republicans I like, check out Peter Schiff if you live in Connecticut. Check out Rand Paul if you live in Kentucky.

Er, the guy running is not a Republican and he’s not running as an Independent, he’s running as a member of the Conservative Party.
I actually do agree that the centrist bullshit needs to end, though. I’d love to see a Libertarian vs. Green party face off. Republicans and Democrats have no balls, and care more about getting re elected than in having actual principals.
The scary thing though is that Hoffman is just a totalitarian right winger. He’s against government spending, but wants government control over our personal lives. Sounds familiar.

Kevin,
You are so right, we need a party that will stand up for what is right and not what will get the party re-elected.

Now, Republicans do have a tendency to preach cut, cut, cut yet when they get in the office they spend heavily on WAR. And the Democrats seem to be in love with Abortion and Gay Marriage issues. When will there be a party that will:
1. Cut Programs that dont work
2. Stop financing socialist programs with equity
3. Bring our troops home
4. Reduce military spending
5. Reform Social Welfare Programs (Social Security, FHA, Welfare, Medicare)
6. Implement a flat tax
7. Reduce the size of government by 1/2
8. Bring manufacturing back to the USA!
These policies would probably get any president impeached but definitely would bring our country back to prominence. This is why I am promoting my very own BULL-MOOSE party of conservative, progressives that want less government in exchange for programs that work. If you want less focus on War, Abortion and Gay rights the vote BULL-MOOSE in 2085!

Moose I don’t really care about those issues, I don’t care what fair services our Government wants to provide for its citizens. I think they are supposed to remember.
I have a big problem with Liars using these issues as promises to disguise their abuse of power while the constiuents on both sides Okeydokes the whole process. Depending on which party thinks his guy is giving them goodies.
It’s much like Obama tooting his horn about melding with the Credit card companies after a ominous Youtube post, only to end up with 30% interest rates to current customers with good credit standing.
I don’t see anyone in Washington capable of making decisions for the good of the people. So I’d rather they not. Because their loyalties obviously lie with the millions of Big Business lobbyists that are in Washington.

It would be nice to have a younger, less kooky Ron Paul as a presidential candidate. You might call that imaginary man a Practical Libertarian. Regulate to provide a level playing field, not to manipulate sectors to a desired outcome. Because once government has the power to manipulate towards outcomes, lobbyists will assume the greatest influence. Everywhere the government cripples competition, we have higher prices and fewer choices.
