At the top of the page it says “visit our beta site.”   What does that mean?

Geek speak for software developers it is a software cycle version.

Alpha; first primative frame work of software. This version is not a release but more of a proof of concept and prototyping, more psuedo code than actual solid code.

Beta: this is a more complete version that is wired in from the back end to the front end. Most logic is there but this release usually has a bug list and or a wish list for further enhancements.

Delta: this is the candidate release version, it is put out there for final QA and if all goes well. it will be the final version.

So beta is just a test for a new look.

I write enterprise software. I’m the guy they call when their system is too complex for cheap labor to use DevXDataGrid controls connected to datasource controls set up through Wizard dialogs.

I love it when you talk dirty…

So all it means is that they have a new site for computer users? Wouldn’t that just be the online version that tells me about the beta site?
