Didn’t you manage to stay awake in high school civics class? Congress passes laws - it does not mean that they write them. Obamacare is the best example - Congress members were asked to pass the law in order to find out what it contained. I wonder how many lobbyists collaborated on 2700 page bill. Did they mention this practice in your high school civics class?

Obama influences laws, certainly. That's expected. He sure as shit isn't writing them though. If obama really wanted to get his way on things, he'd just pull a gwb and do whatever he wants without bothering to ask congress, or use signing statements to change laws as he sees fit.

Obama has used signing statements, but nowhere near as often as GWB.
