One of my favorites...

A conservative sees a man drowning 50' away from shore.
He throws the drowning man a 25' rope and tells him to swim for the other end.

A liberal sees a man drowning 50' away from shore.
He throws the drowning man a 50' rope, then drops the other end to go off and do another good deed.
