Talk radio has finally gone too far. Maybe we need the Fairness Doctrine after all, in order that is, to counter the radicalism of the right ..... uh .... I mean, the LEFT. Here's a fine example of the radical loony left showing its hatred in its purest form:

This is an example of the radical, nutcase, loony left. The Duck has really fallen off a cliff this time. Accusing Bush of ordering "cluster bombs" dropped on "civilians" is even left of the lunatic Howard Dean. Congratulations Ducky Boy. You are in very exclusive company ... right up there with OBL, Hamas, al Qaeda, etc.

As an intellectual exercise Ray, not that you need it or anything, why not discuss how ordering the military to drop clusterbombs on Baghdad is different from ordering the military to drop clusterbombs on civilians? I'm sure you have a compelling argument.
Then maybe you can stop running away and answer my question.

Dear Duck:
You specifically stated that Bush "decided" to drop bombs specifically on "civilians." This is a very, very serious (actually nutty) charge. Again, (for like the 15th. time) please provide proof that Bush gave such an order. Thank you in advance for your cooperation (maybe the kinder, gentler approach will work … apparently saying the Duck is to left of the lunatic Howard Dean didn’t).

Keep running Ray. Living scared sucks, but that's all you know how to do.
Bush decided to drop bombs on Baghdad with the intent of killing civilians and military personnel who were not engaged in warfare. Either that, or Bush was only trying to kill pets?

I'm still waiting for your documented proof that Bush's intent was to specifically kill civilians. I'm sure, very sure, you wouldn't make up such a serious charge. You just have to have the proof. By the way, where is it?

There's no other possible intent. Do you think he was trying to kill dogs and cats?
Do you think someone who drops a cluster bomb on a government building has the luxury of saying "Oh don't worry, I'm not actually trying to kill civilians"?
I don't think he does.
Again I've answered you. Again you've run away from all my questions like the scared little coward you've always been. Don't you think there's something wrong with this picture?

Yes I do. There is something very wrong. You said Bush ordered "civilians" to be "killed." I've asked repeatedly for proof. For some strange reason, you won't provide it. I can't imagine why that is.

The better question is why you're even asking me questions when you've run away like a scared little girl from everyone who's ever asked you anything.
Anyway you continue to lie. I never said Bush ordered civilians to be killed. I said Bush ordered cluster bombs to be dropped on civilians and inactive military units in Baghdad.
Ray, you're by far the most dishonest person posting on this site. At least Shrek has the decency to stop posting after his bullshit is exposed. You just keep on going.

'tis a good question!
Bush had inarguable agency in launching the US attack on Iraq in 2003
March 2002: "Fuck Saddam, we're taking him out!"
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article2835.htm
As Commander in Chief:"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States" -- Article II of the Constitution -- he gets the ultimate responsibility for how all military actions were conducted on his watch.
This is why I was against the war in the run-up. Wars (of occupation and nation-building) are not something you just roll the dice on, they really have to be the last option.
And I knew there'd be so much death and destruction in the aftermath of our occupation. I expected us to "win" the Battle of Iraq easily enough, it was the occupation that I knew would be difficult.
But the background of this needs to also include the 1990s sanction regime, which also killed more Iraqis than AQ has killed, by several orders of magnitude.

Nice work Ray, you can't even quote me correctly when trolling me about a quote. Really pathetic.
I said: "Bush ordered cluster bombs to be dropped on civilians and inactive military units in Baghdad."
Do you consider this false?

Iwog ... When Clinton said "it depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is," you probably enthusiastically nodded your head in agreement.
Bush either "ordered cluster bombs to be dropped on civilians" or he didn't.
Which is it?

Your comment (as if you didn't know) is false based on the fact that you stated that it was Bush's specific intent to kill civilians. When I asked you for specific proof that backs up your charge, you simply answered "Shock and Awe." I'm not a supporter of the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq or Libya. I detested the Neocons that maneuvered the pliable puppet Bush into Iraq. But nowhere do I find any evidence that backs up your claim that Bush sought out to kill civilians, and you certainly have not produced it either. At least have the decency to admit you were wrong to make such an unsubstantiated charge.

Is this quote factually true or false? It's a yes or no question and every time you re-word my actual quote it's an act of dishonesty.
You seem to be saying that it was Bush's intent to drop bombs on government buildings in Baghdad but NOT his intent to kill anyone.
Is this really your view? If it is indeed your view, it's unbelievably childish and naive. It's like someone shooting 5000 rounds into a house with an AK47 then telling the police "it was not my intent to kill anyone".

I haven't been paying much attention to this thread. My apologies. I got a little tired reading your boring responses to my simple requests for you to provide proof that Bush purposely and specifically ordered "cluster bombs" to be dropped on "civilians." Of course, in a very real way, you did provide your "answer," so anything else is pretty much redundant on your part:

Tell you what Ray. You continue to run away from every question anyone ever asks you, and I'll continue to live in the real world where an order to bomb Baghdad with clusterbombs is also an order to kill civilians. Fair enough?
Again......a discussion with people like Ray always boils down to a discussion about what's real and what's fantasy. There's no room for an actual discussion.
