Yuppers, we've got a genuine Warren Buffett here!

That shows how much you know about Buffet. His whole mantra is not timing the market, but believing in the growth in this country. The only person that has gloated about his perfect timing around here is you. Funny you turn your worst quality on me. LOL

Money talks. You would have to do some bad moves to not make money in the market since 2009. That is my point. The market is on fire. How hard is it to buy good quality dividend paying stocks?

    Am I doing this right?

    You are doing it perfectly.

Almost perfect, except the 2003-2006 reference taken out of context. I owned a home east of Sacramento from 2003-2009 like I said numerous times. While I owned this home I still rented in the SFBA cause my work has always been here. Funny how the truth hurts most people. Weird.

Nice to know I have such a follower. Hi. ;)

Cool dog Roberto. Probably the only downside I can see to staying a renter in the SFBA. Most of the houses I have rented over the last decade don't allow pets. I'm working my current landlord, but so far it doesn't look good.

Now for the odd part(at least to me)...a number of these high income households have houses that are either uncared for, dilapidated, or otherwise look bad and are in shambles....neglected roofing, painting, no landscaping(weeds and brown in the yards). Some of these houses are basically falling apart. This extends even to the wealthy areas where homes are selling at $1million plus.

You see this in Palo Alto also, but it usually is just elderly people who bought their houses decades ago, and haven't moved. The recent buyers tend to have plenty of money.

Or mortgage holders that have already hit the max on their Home Depot credit card. Recent buyers have plenty of borrowed money, that is about all they got. 30 years of 8am-8pm working in the tech cube. All for a crab shack walking distance from a $5000 futon shop, $100 sushi meal, $25 burger, and a $8 latte. Steal!

The good part - if prices keep surging like they do for a few years you will soon enough be able to rent for half the cost again...but you still missed the rally and were wrong in ALL your predictions.

Jeez, I missed nothing. I got a bunch of properties that have taken full advantage of this rally. I actually sold a condo and might sell another soon. I can still have an opinion on the fundamentals, even if I am profiting from the easy money.

I think you're telling more porkies.

Well then I have been telling that same story now for about 4 years on here. Currently own 3 houses and 2 condos. All paid with no mortgages from stock winnings and savings over the last 15-16 years. Each place is at least twice of the original purchase amount. Some are more.

I don't disagree with housing being a great place to park you money, but I do disagree with housing in SFBA and the actions of the Feds to prop up a dead market.

I have taken advantage of the free money by selling another condo I owned in Toronto just recently and walking away with a good chunk. Happily I put most of it to work in the surging market. ChaChing!

So it is invalid to think you can make 6% from MCD annually by using dividends and selling covered calls.

It is also invalid to assume you can make good money from companies like Cisco and Intel, PG, COP, GE, KO, etc.. Jeez, the dividend alone makes fixed investments look laughable.

Obviously someone can make money from investing in stocks. I made a bunch of money myself this quarter. However, you've been caught clearly lying about the trades you make. That's a different thing.

Again, you are incorrect here. I never lied about any trades. If anything I tone down my real winning in the market, cause the truth definitely wouldn't fly around here. Fine with me, I'm the one with the winnings.

March 2012: "Anyone who has property right now is a logic impaired idiot."

May 2013: "I've got a bunch of properties that have taken advantage of this rally."

    Wow.

Doubt I used the words you took the liberty of misquoting. My properties were bought back in 1997-2002. I actually bought a property in 2003 here, but sold in early 2009 for a nice profit. Don't really understand your point other than trying to attack someone by misquoting.

Invalid is people thinking 85B/mth is not creating all this asset price movement. There is very little organic growth in housing. Remove the allowance and look out below. At least we will get a few good following quarters in stocks before they are affected.

Especially so given that your obviously not very good at it. You seem very cavalier with making up stuff (dates, prices, etc) without first checking to see if they were factually possible or correct.

Instead of you saying "I did X" or "I sold Y" and then getting caught in a lie, why not make your point via hypotheticals (i.e. "someone could have done X" or "someone could have then sold Y")? Had you done this, everyone would have gotten your point, and no one would care if your dates or prices were off by a bit.

As it stands, you did not decide to take this path and now your credibility has suffered tremendously for it.

So much waisted energy to prove a point that is actually invalid. Wow. I guess we can have 25% unemployment. So many people with so little to do.

Nobody's whining. We're just puzzled as to why it's worth your time (and $5/month) to lie about you investment success. It impresses nobody, and it doesn't help anyone who's interested in actually discussing real estate.

The only lying happening around here is you thinking you are correct. ;)
