Network Solutions has been hosting my domains for over ten years now.

Today I get an email saying they are going to raise prices on yearly domain registrations for .com, .net, .biz and a few others.
So I Googled the subject, maybe this is hot off the press there wasn't much uproar yet(Though I'm roaring plenty)

In my search I saw this glad handing pat on the back...

NETWORK SOLUTIONS JOINS CALL FOR ICANN TO MAKE KEY CHANGES TO .COM PROPOSAL

"“The final proposal, when approved by the ICANN Board, will have far-reaching consequences for the Internet community,” said Champ Mitchell, Chairman and CEO of Network Solutions. “Our goal is to ensure that a final agreement does not allow registry prices to increase without cost justification and without market-based checks and balances.”"

Here was my Email...

Dear Valued Network Solutions® Customer,

This email is to notify you that we will be making adjustments to some of the services you currently have with us. Beginning March 1, 2012, we'll be implementing a price change for the following domain extensions .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us, and .name, as well as Private Registration and Web Forwarding. To view the new pricing, please click here.(here points tohttp://marketing.networksolutions.com/notification/)

We appreciate your continued business. Should you have any questions, please contact Customer Support at 1-888-848-1477.

Sincerely,

The Network Solutions® Customer Care Team

"registry prices to increase without cost justification"
then
"we'll be implementing a price change"

Now was I given any justification? NO! They are implementing new charges. Like charging me more money is some framework that I'm going to benefit from. Nice fucking guy. The nerve, where do these pricks get off?

I left networksolutions.com years ago because of shit like that.

Try http://godaddy.com which I use for the Patrick.net domain registration. They're a little cheezy, but cheap and reliable.
