I wonder if their climate coverage is the only thing that's not fact based

There is massive CO2 inventory. Glaciers are cratering.

Liberals have hijacked Science and is using it as the Temple Priest that wields the sacrificial knife. Typical science television programing has been replaced by reality shows depicting the dumbest of the dumb Americans Pawning their great great grandfathers Civil war heirlooms.

When one of the Discovery/History networks do decide to run an educational piece, it is an obvious ploy to work the Global warming agenda into the plot. Even shows about Stonehenge ends up being about Global warming in the wrap up of the show.

Then there's the Liberals with the Science Community like a Pit bull on a leash, as the Libs walk around the neighborhood barking out "We're all smart and you're all so damn stupid." There's nothing we or they can do about the impending doom and gloom they propose, but of course the Republicans, or Independents can redeem them selves if, they just repent and except Obama as their Lord and Savior.

To be honest with you, the other 50% that just finds it all so trite and condescending. We would rather have the Sun just burn us all to a crisp and whither and blow away. If it would mean, we would finally be free of this Shit.

This is why humans are doomed. You have too many people who can't accept a truthful message because of their ideological beliefs and because they perceive the messenger to be in opposition to those beliefs. To make it worse, the powerful have figured out how easy it is to manipulate a huge part of our citizenry.

Bill Clinton sums it up well here:

Does that include the truthful message that we cannot have a 1st world standard of living w/o burning fossil fuels on a massive scale (unless we use a whole lot more nuclear power)? See www.withouthotair.com

Quite frankly I am shocked that FOX "news" tells the truth, on climate issues, 7% of the time.

7   Bap33   2012 Sep 27, 6:12am

Does the Sun change the climate of the planets in our solar system? Yep. History has ice ages and large lizards that say things change on a large scale.

Have people chenged the climate of Earth? Nope. I know the hippy/boomer/dope-heads hate to hear it, but we are not that powerful, and the Earth does not need our "help".

Is it normally a leftist/liberal/hippy dope-smoker mind that feels they are important enough to change the planet? Yep, every time. They save whales, seals, orphans (but NOT unborn babies), lakes, wetlands, vernal pools, chipmonks, field mice, owls, polar bears, birds ..... not for the sake of saving anything, but for the personal satisfaction of feeling as powerful as God. It's just part of the mental disorder known as liberalism.

Is it normally a righty/conservo/non-hippy non-dope head that is made to pay more in taxes, fees, fines, lawyers, ect, to help the leftists create, and enforce the regualtions that the dopeheaded left comes up with? Yep, every time.

Fox is fair and balanced. All other mass media is 100% in bed with Lord Barry. They should be ashamed, but they lack morals and ethics, so they feel no shame. A lack of shame is a very common trait in The Deviant Nation that is the financial anchor for the Dem party.

Is the sun responsible for the current climate change issues? Nope.

http://solar-center.stanford.edu/sun-on-earth/FAQ2.html

However, according to Drew Shindell, a climate researcher from NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York, NY, the most recent studies have confirmed that changing levels of energy from the Sun are not significant enough to be a major cause of global warming: "...the solar increases do not have the ability to cause large global temperature increases...greenhouse gases are indeed playing the dominant role..." The Sun is once again less bright as we approach solar minimum, yet global warming continues."

Bap, how do you feel when someone else accuses you of having a mental disorder?

Do you think that this kind of politically motivated divisive language is good or bad for our country?

Eh, both sides call each other crazy. Obviously the "other team" is crazy, while "our team" has The Truth (tm).

In the olden days Republicans did not consistently deny all science that did not meet with the Newscorp approved talking points.

14   leo707   2012 Sep 27, 7:12am

Believe it or not, but there was a time with the GOP's positions did not rely almost entirely on truthiness.

15   Tenpoundbass   2012 Sep 27, 7:17am

Well on the upswing if you Libs and your pet Science lab are right.
We'll rid our selves soon of the misery of the Liberals and their smug condescending bullshit. So just maybe, it's a win for the everyone, not just the Republicans.

And if you guys were to get out more, it's the independents that also is sick of Liberal Science. Science will always speak for its self. It doesn't need a superpac. Is it December 21st yet?

Your talking about climate change here right?

Actually, there is some evidence that Liberal/Conservative views are genetic. The thing is that if "liberals" are right about climate change then they will be much better prepared to survive it than "conservatives" would. "Liberals" will be the frogs that jump out of the pot of water before it comes to a boil.

Evolution may lead to a more "liberal" world 200 years from now.

NO they wont, they'll be to preoccupied with debauchery and moral decay.
I think the only people in this country prepared to handle an apocalyptic calamity are the Omish and those types. Do you really think THEY are voting for Obama this year? Now sure I don't fit that demographic either.
But in the end the only thing that will survive will be Cockroaches and Yoder. And Yoder will kill his lonesome boredom by watching FOX news, after a long day of working the land.

Yes, they will. They are the only ones that are -- on a personal level -- even thinking about the repercussions of climate change on their, and their families, lives.

Anyways, Republicans are far more preoccupied with with debauchery and moral decay.

The Amish have set themselves up to poorly handle any large changes to "English" society or the environment. While they may be self-sufficient they are also very ill-equipped to handle any type of change.

If we are on the road where cockroaches are the only surviors the Amish will disappear long before the "normal" anarchy turns to canibal anarchy.

Yes, and then filter your Google search to only include articles less than a year old.

The idea that sun activity is causing global warming, while once popular, is no longer accepted by solar scientists.

22   Bap33   2012 Sep 29, 1:38am

no, the absurdity of the left has resulted in a cash-flow issue for anyone not on the anti-American Gore bandwagon.

if that is not the case, then explain your man-made position for the years prior to this lone story to which you are grasping. I mean, are you supporting science now and not then, or then and not now, or just when it suits you?

http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/comment/2012/09/candidates-ignore-an-arctic-disaster.html

Last week, the National Snow and Ice Data Center, in Boulder, Colorado, announced that the Arctic sea ice had reached a new low. The sea ice shrinks in the summer and grows again during winter’s long polar night. It usually reaches its minimum extent in mid-September. On September 16, 2012, the N.S.I.D.C. reported, the sea ice covered 1.3 million square miles. This was just half of its average extent during the nineteen-eighties and nineties, and nearly twenty per cent less than its extent in 2007, the previous record-low year.
It would be difficult to overstate the significance of this development. We are now seeing changes occur in a matter of years that, in the normal geological scheme of things, should take thousands, even millions of times longer than that.

qualify this part please. Like, on what scale? Human life scale, earth life scale, sun life scale, universe life scale. Ballpark me, please. Help me know what you mean by "normal" ... since, I seem to keep finding out that climate on Earth has bounced around a bit now and then .... without any help from the Otto engine.
