Man, I'm looking through all these China Sites for products to import.

You won't believe the brazen knockoffs they offer for sale.

Like the US refused to enforce British and German Patents in the 19th Century when America was industrializing, China is refusing to enforce American Patents in the 21st Century.

The only country being hurt by IP enforcement is American Retailers and Manufacturing. Because ain't shit being enforced in China, when you have multi-million dollar exporters who ship by the containerload worldwide openly faking everything from Johnson & Johnson to Nike.

In some cases American Company actually encourage people to buy knock offs with their outrageous prices. Where I work, people were ordering "official" NFL jersey's for $12 each from a Chinese website. The Official NFL stores are charging any where from $100 to $300 per shirt. I can understand a company wanting to make a profit, but charging $300 for a shirt that cost less than 3 bucks to make is customer price gouging. So in respect to the NFL losing money I say Fuck them.

I'm guessing that the official NFL Jersey is also made in China...

The way things are going , the Chinese may even be willing to export stuff with ,"Made in America" tags.

This could get interesting if they keep exporting their capital:
A Wall Street Journal analysis of that data suggests that in the 12 months through September, about $225 billion flowed out of China, equivalent to about 3% of the nation's economic output last year... "It's not a good sign when local businessmen begin to think it's better to take money offshore, especially when the world economy is in such bad shape."

Yes. I'm not sure if it the NFL Shirt manufacturer in China selling them out of the back door or another manufacturer all together, but from what I heard the quality is the same. Not every knock off coming out of China is an inferior product.

Here's how it goes: American company exports manufacturing of patented product to Chinese factory business. Factory churns out product at low rate. Six months later same product is available as a knock off with identical quality. American company goes out of business several years later. Really pays to ship jobs to china huh?! Just wait until the knock off iPhones and iPads are available here. That plus kindle fire HD will put a dent in apple.

Yeah, exactly. I was investigating importing stuff to open a baby store (place is in the middle of a baby boom because the pop is overwhelmingly 16-30 here). I saw Pampers and J&J products - or at least they were on the packaging. When you scrolled down, I think it was dhgate.com, and looked at the pics of the products themselves, the diapers had Chinese Characters and Asian-style cartoons on them, and the J&J product listed "Soybean Oil" as the #1 ingredient, which J&J does not use.

We can substitute cheap feline labor in the US to make what's currently made in China.
