With most domestic issues, its hard for an administration to bypass Congress and still affect policy. Thats not true for energy. Former President George W. Bushs 2001 energy task force was supposed to write policy recommendations, then disbanded after environmentalists learned of the groups secret meetings with the oil and gas industry and sued. Bush pressed ahead a different way, using his Interior secretary, a former lawyer for fossil-fuel interests, to carry out his oil-driven agenda and ramp up drilling on publicly owned lands.

Environmentalist made you want to be like them. Even if you didn't have the time to sit in the Jungle for three years, keeping watch over the lowland Gorillas while you washed your undies in leach infested waters. You still admired their resolve.

Greenies don't have to do anything really, to prove their loyalty to their cause, other than buy an expensive Eggmobile, and put over priced Glass shingles on their roof.

LOL, for all the gains made in efficency throughout any given home(HVAC,appliances, and lighting, water heating)they are all offset by the increase in use by eletronics. Computers, IPADs, IPODs, video games and the numerous other stuff has whittled those gains away, and it gets worse by the day.

Somehow I don't expect the "greenies" to text or twitter each other those facts. They're not even spinning their wheels, just total out-there dumbshittery.

Don't forget the jackassery that drives green lawyer firms. Identify a corporation with money, sue based on some whimsical basis, and collect a fat "go-away" settlement. Rinse, repeat, until "the Earth" wins. Or until you drive all development away.

It's ironic that lawyer licensing has some ethics part to it. Any industry that has that always gives me a lot of caution.
