Just a way to drive out small companies or mom and pop shops, and triple the cost of replacing a roof.
How many people do you know who've been seriously injured by a fall from roofing work? I know one who was paralyzed from the neck down. That's quite a high price to pay for neglecting safety equipment. Fall arrest gear isn't that expensive and people can tie off rather than live on the edge. All the cheap labor gets really expensive for the tax payer when we have to cover medical bills for injured roofers, or worse, welfare benefits for their widows and children.

I'm not paying one more penny for a roof job just for the sake of safety.
It's wrong to raise the costs of goods and services just to make their provision safer, or to reduce environmental degradation or health problems. We should only do things that are free: no hard choices ever.
BTW, get those inspectors out of nuclear plants. Cheaper power for everyone!
But will all of this lower workmans comp or home owners insurance?
No of course not.
"Oh oooh Okey doke okey doke now fuck the other side, oooh yeah that's it now Okey doke."
