#10 At this point about half of all recent college graduates are working jobs that do not even require a college degree.

#11 The number of Americans in the 16 to 29 year old age bracket with a job declined by 18 percent between 2000 and 2010.

#12 According to one survey, 82 percent of all Americans believe that it is harder for young adults to find jobs today than it was for their parents to find jobs.

#13 Incomes for U.S. households led by someone between the ages of 25 and 34 have fallen by about 12 percent after you adjust for inflation since the year 2000.

#14 In 1984, the median net worth of households led by someone 65 or older was 10 times larger than the median net worth of households led by someone 35 or younger. Today, the median net worth of households led by someone 65 or older is 47 times larger than the median net worth of households led by someone 35 or younger.

#19 The total amount of student loan debt in the United States now exceeds the total amount of credit card debt in the United States.

#20 According to the U.S. Department of Education, 11 percent of all student loans are at least 90 days delinquent.

#21 The student loan default rate in the United States has nearly doubled since 2005.

#22 One survey found that 70% of all college graduates wish that they had spent more time preparing for the "real world" while they were still in college.

#24 In the United States today, 317,000 waiters and waitresses have college degrees.

#26 According to the Pew Research Center, 57 percent of all Americans in the 18 to 24 year old age bracket lived with their parents during 2012.

#27 One poll discovered that 29 percent of all Americans in the 25 to 34 year old age bracket are still living with their parents.

#28 Young men are nearly twice as likely to live with their parents as young women the same age are.

#29 Overall, approximately 25 million American adults are living with their parents according to Time Magazine.

#30 Young Americans are becoming increasingly frustrated that previous generations have saddled them with a nearly 17 trillion dollar national debt that they are expected to make payments on for the rest of their lives.

The good thing about being young right now is that you're more likely to benefit from improved health care and anti-aging therapies yet to be developed. Do the economy sucks and you get shafted on a fast start to your life, but that life might last a lot longer.

Men don't matter anymore, feminism rules. All I see on TV are women yelling at men, and men portrayed as the bad guy.

My cord was cut too, but then earlier this year I made the error of moving in with one of these wonderful creatures - not the biggest mistake of my life, it's just amazing how someone can say they love you and lie to you at the same time. Masters of deception I guess. I'm looking forward to getting back to the single life, never again.

unless nuclear war/plague/tsunami/chemical war/asteroid or something of those magnitude happen then they wouldn't have lived a full life.

on a positive note, this is a good thing for older guys (most people here) who want to sleep with hot young girls. the poorer they are the easier they get.

Maybe men are finally catching on to the feminist game. Why work and make a living when you can live off your significant other, be entitled to half their money and blame them for everything wrong in your life. Never take responsibility for anything in life, always be entitled to everything and always expect handout and have no shame about any of it-in fact be proud , demand it and make the guy you are living off of as the villain.

Who knows if this continues-the percentage of women paying alimony and parting with their assets will soar. Young men will just play video games, get alimony, demand the state support them and any children they fathered, demand clinics like the planned parenthood for men and then blame women for all their ills. After all that is what they would have learnt from their feminist single mamas.

Someone's parents somewhere on cord cutting:

Masters of deception I guess. We are looking forward to getting back to the empty life, never again.

wait until the dollar collapses and Bob and Sally lose their jobs as house flippers. No doubt they'll quickly revert to the Sympathy For the Old act when Listen To Your Elders no longer serves them.

It's mainly old Boomer women. I say just make sure the nagging of these old crones becomes purely the pain of the Boomer men, rather than letting them bother everyone else in society.

LOL...I just got a blast of that this week. Asked one question (where did the money go) and got a history lesson of every "bad thing" I said or did from 2 decades ago! (This is after being divorced for 13 year and expecting the other person to move on...fat chance.) Isn't this what a teenage does, blame their "parent" for everything wrong in their life, not a middle aged supposed adult?

I notice the Boomers have adopted a new guarded and cautious tone when addressing their children't generation lately. These kids are going to rise up and cause unbelievable havoc. When you present them with zero prospects, it's only a matter of time. And there isn't a strategy to avoid it, they'll smoke every one of you out of your little tax shelters and your little 3rd world getaways. You'll be answering directly to them before you even realize what happened.

Young people today realize they will inherit a world that will be automated hence little for anyone to do. Why waste your life learning to analyze a spreadsheet when Watson can do it -- and also adjust factory output based on the numbers.

Economically it makes perfect sense not to throw your lot in with a system that is broken and dying and wait until the next games starts.

it's all busy work and we know that.

so if it's busy work, then who the fuck is running this, and why don't we just take it directly from them?

Doubt it. They're vapid, narcissistic and too lazy to make their own spit. They're CaptainShuddup with zits, hair product, an unlimited data plan and nowhere to live. They barely even exist. That's what's scary.

keep provoking them Boomers, just wait and see what happens.

25   C Boy   2013 Oct 5, 5:19am

#1 is incorrect. More men under 30 were not in the workforce during WWII and in the middle of the Great Depression.
