I bought a paddle for a stand up surf board, was due for it anyway.
I am going to use it for when country really goes down the crapper, so I am not up shit creek without a paddle.
I am not well organized enough to get into orgy shopping mode. The last time I went to a shopping orgy, there was no sex at all, I was really disappointed.
No, I should have thought about the biking stuff, but I was going to wait until January.. Same with R134a.

I found a lot of great bike stuff at jensonusa.com ... They are still running a good sale today. Be careful, while some of the items are a steal, the others are over full price.
Nashbar.com is doing 20% off, but they run this special all the time.
The news is so full of shit, they are reporting Thanksgiving day sales uptick from last year.
Any sale at all would have been a 100% uptick, they are reporting something like 2 or 3% uptick for TGD sales. I mean don't want to over do it when you're fudging the numbers.
I see a lot of people bashing black Friday as a materialistic orgy for consumers... Which it is.
However, did any of you find/buy good deals for items that you need - or will serve a purpose?
The week leading up to black Friday, I was able to score a few good deals on items my wife and I were planning on buying in 2014 at a steeply discounted price.
What we bought:
1) Bicycle tires (normally $50/each, paid $20/each)
2) Bicycle chain (normally $40, paid $30)
3) Cycling shoes (normally $150, paid $50)
4) DSLR Camera, 2 lense bundle (normally $850, paid $599)
The bike stuff I'd never seen so cheap, and since I'm a full time bike commuter, buying a few maintenance items was really nice. The camera was for my wife's business, as she runs a blog and does food photography.
Anyhow, funny thing is that I didn't buy any of it ON black Friday, but on the days leading up to it. Also, it was all purchased online - with free shipping.
Disclaimer: I did not participate in the madness at the brick and mortar stores, but there were a few good deals, if there were items you needed.
