Hello, from Budapest, Hungary.

Well, I must be doing something financially right to be able to take a trip during the slow time at work to go to Budapest, Hungary. I thank you for your input in that, right or wrong.

Budapest has been very pleasant for me. I have enjoyed relaxing in the natural hot springs spas, taken in the architecture, and tasted the European flavor and food. As people write, including the State department, Budapest is a relatively safe place to visit, within reason of course. Budapest is not Paris or Rome, I did not expect it to be, it has a slower pace.

As for the Real Estate, the word from the street is that it is cheaper to buy than rent. Here, as in Paris, there is the old school Real estate windows with the property listings. In every window, the properties go from $10,000,000 to $100,000,000 Hungarian Forint's, or approximately $46,900 to $469,000 USD. These are local city properties from a Studio to Multiple bedrooms.

Another story, people love to talk Real Estate all over the World. I think. I was told enthusiastically about a bank scam, um, 'clause' a few years ago, around the time of our 'bubble' where there was a clause in the Real Estate contract that the money borrowed was tied to the Swiss Franc. Of course, the Swiss Franc fluctuated, increasing the amount owed on the property!

Again, just word from the street in Budapest. Ciao.
