At least he wasn't gay and wanted to marry. Some things are just unforgivable........
How do you know? He cheated on his wife, could have been with a guy (or boy).
Maybe the family he wants to spend time with is his gay family.

My guess would be, he has hundreds of Millions in the bank and can't enjoy the fruits of his success while preaching for donations every Sunday. This way he gets a clean break, and can now move far away so his congregation will never track vacation in the Yucatan and Barbados, summer homes Summer homes, and posh retirement, he has planned.
