In his latest, hard-hitting FIREWALL, Bill provides a moment-by-moment breakdown of the events leading up to the attack on the Consulate in Benghazi, a detailed analysis of who was doing and saying what as the attack was underway, and chronicles the following ten days of deceptions and lies on the part of the White House and the State Department, throwing a clear, cold and unflattering light on the competence and character of the President and Secretary of State.

So you are a homosexual then?

What does that matter to you? Are you a bigot?

indigenous says

yea all the Republican stuff is important... (sarcasm)

Sarcasm is not a counter-argument.

indigenous says

What percentage of the Democrats think there is global warming?

Irrelevant. Climate change or global warming is a scientific fact. Science is not a democracy. There is truth and there are falsehoods. Which is which is not determined by a popularity contest.

At this point, with the mountainous evidence of climate change with many independent lines of verification, anyone who claims to doubt the reality and severity of man-made climate change is a liar, an idiot, or willfully ignorant. Of course, these three things are not mutually exclusive.

indigenous says

Facts are somebody did something. Polls are not facts they are opinions.

It is a fact that Reagan gave weapons to terrorists. It is a fact that the republicans had no objection to this, nonetheless outrage like they pretend to have at Obama wording a speech "incorrectly".

Also, polls reveal facts about people's positions. It is a fact that 4 out of 10 republicans referred to Benghazi as the worst scandal in American history. This fact is important as it demonstrates how bat-shit crazy the republicans are. Just because you don't like a fact doesn't make it not a fact.

indigenous says

We are talking about Benghazi not Reagan, Bush, Nixon they are irrelevant.

We are talking about the insincerity of republican motives in trying to create a false scandal around Benghazi, the inaccuracy of the so-called facts the republicans present, and the utter hypocrisy of their actions.

So yes, revealing that Reagan gave arms to the terrorists is most certainly relevant. Just because you don't like that I've shown Reagan, not Obama, to be the one guilty of treason of the highest degree does not make that fact irrelevant or republicans any less hypocrites for deifying Reagan while condemning Obama for some utter bullshit about supporting the terrorists which could not be further from the truth.

You republicans are so bat-shit crazy when it comes to Obama and so utterly divorced from any resemblance of reality that I, someone who has called for Obama to be tried for crimes against humanity, have to defend him in order to defend the truth. You're accusations against him are so ludicrous that either you are utterly insane or completely and blatantly racist. Again, these two things are not mutually exclusive.

indigenous says

The rest of the stuff is trivial.

The video in the OP is about FACTS.

Bill Maher is NOT it is a fucking comedy show.

Once again, you have failed to even attempt to address a single point Maher made, and in failing so have revealed that you are incapable of making any counter-arguments. This is not surprising because you lack both the truth, which is the easier ground to defend, and the intelligence to make any coherent argument.

I see from your last sentence above that merely creating a complete, intelligible sentence is a stretch for your intellect.

Call it Crazy says

You keep posting the Bill Maher videos.... Like he has ANY relevancy to anything...

So, who's the dumb ass now??

The person who's only argument against Maher is that he's funny and therefore must not be correct. That is in no way a valid counter-argument. At best, you are occupying the second lowest level of the argument pyramid and that is a losing position.

To all those listening to this thread, I have a question. Is the average republican as utterly stupid as those posting on this thread, or are these republicans on Patrick.net particularly stupid?

Ah yes, you have already run out of arguments.

Indigenous: Government spending is 1 trillion dollars per year in waste, that is hurting our economy. Cut it.
CP: If you cut a trillion from government spending, the economy will contract at least 7%.
Indigenous: No it wouldn't there was 4 trillion in stimulus spending, that didn't increase the economy 4 trillion.
CP: Government spending is a component of economic output by definition. And yes, the economy increased by more than $4 trillion, so the money supply growth did grow the economy.
Indigenous: No it isn't because of malinvestment.
CP: That isn't the definition of malinvestment, nor is your f35 example malinvestment.
Indigenous: Yeah true, but still malinvestment.

I have run out of arguments? You agreed with me, but just restated malinvestment as your argument again. I refuted your central point (the top of the pyramid), you agreed, then just restated.

That is not a new argument. I have nothing to respond to.

Gladly. Not knowing the cause of the Benghazi attack five hours after the attack isn't as bad as causing the deaths of a million innocent people including young children. Had they never made the mistake of thinking that the anti-Mohammad film was the instigating factor, it would not have changed anything at all. It certainly would not have brought the dead back to life.

However, had Bush not lied about Iraq to start a war this child would not be dead.

Nor would many others

Line up the bodies of the children, the thousands of children — the infants, the toddlers, the schoolkids — whose bodies were torn to pieces, burned alive or riddled with bullets during the American invasion and occupation of Iraq. Line them up in the desert sand, walk past them, mile after mile, all those twisted corpses, those scraps of torn flesh and seeping viscera, those blank faces, those staring eyes fixed forever on nothingness.

This is the reality of what happened in Iraq; there is no other reality…

You are a fucking asshole for even attempting to equate the two.

But it is irrelevant in that both were wrong, although North was convicted and punished for the crime.

Nope it is just a fact, that much of what is said is not a fact rather name calling. E.G. you calling me honey.

"Psychological projection is the act or technique of defending oneself against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in oneself, while attributing them to others"

Math is just an a priori fact it is not projecting.

Here Dan, this might help you with the definition of "listening":

1lis·ten

verb \ˈli-sən\

: to pay attention to someone or something in order to hear what is being said, sung, played, etc.

—used to tell a person to listen to what you are saying

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/listen

figure of speech
noun, plural figures of speech. Rhetoric .
any expressive use of language, as a metaphor, simile, personification, or antithesis, in which words are used in other than their literal sense, or in other than their ordinary locutions, in order to suggest a picture or image or for other special effect.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/figure+of+speech

I also suggest a new word, Benghaziphilia, meaning
Deliberate misinterpretation for the purpose of avoiding the truth.

Example usage: Indigenous's Benghaziphillia caused him to think that Patrick.net had a built-in screen reader after Dan mentioned people listening to a thread.

Keep grasping at those straws.

Eric Holder should be in prison having been found guilty of Contempt of Congress for withholding evidence in a criminal investigation. But that has nothing to do with Obama.

It has a lot to do with Bush and you damn republicans though. Because of Bush and other republicans there is no chance that Eric Holder or any other executive officer will ever be punished for crimes because of the real Bush doctrine, the one that goes, executive privilege trumps the law.

You're upset that Holder walked away scott-free after thumbing his noise at Congress? Blame republicans. I would have thrown his ass in prison the moment he refuse to comply with the subpoena for evidence.

We liberals believe in rule of law. You conservatives believe in suspending laws when they don't suit your agenda.
