I mean if you're vaccinated, then why do you care if I'm not?

Oh because the virus might mutate and become a different strain, than what I've been vaccinated for.

Well then what's the point of vaccines, if Nature has the ability to hack them? Do you really think Nature needs a Liberal Lesbian couple's Kid who didn't get vaccinated because they were trying to make a political statement?

It is free speech to allow your children to become stewing vectors of contagion, and spreading disease is their Constitutional right to free assembly.

Cough, Cough!

4   elliemae   2014 Jun 28, 4:04am

It's not only free speech, it's your republican duty to spread as much disease as possible - then blame it on Obama.

In America every single loser with mental illness thinks he is special and is entitled to equality.

Today homosexuals want equal marriage, tomorrow they'll want equal television exposure, next they'll want to teach homosexuality to every other child. Not sure why liberals are set on cultural self destruction, my guess stupid is what stupid does.

6   Ceffer   2014 Jun 28, 6:24am

If you are free to bear arms, you should be free to bear crippling viral diseases.

Prayer is for the spirit and the soul, medicine is for the body. And you need both.

I do see a lot of people who don't understand that. This mostly comes from those who never been to church or listened to the teachings of the lord.

I care because of "herd immunity".

I frankly don't give a shit if you die. However if enough of "you" create a pocket of polio or Killer Flu or some shit like that, I will fence your community in and exterminate everything inside it. It will make me very sad to spray flame on you, friends, and family. But I will do it.

So much better if you get vaccinated.

Clear now?

Prayer was not the proximate cause of the end of smallpox and polio. It was tax cuts.

However, because so many of us pray nightly for the tax cuts Jesus advocated, prayer played a role.

Fuckin' A right! Well said! Even losers with computers who spout stupid-ass jesus shit will think that they have the right to equality.

For those of you stupids who didn't understand what he was trying to say, I'll translate:

FartWhine says

I can't believe them thar homos want equal marriage. Who the fuck do they think that they are - 'mericans? (burp) Cuz every white blooded 'merican knows that equal marriage is reserved only for them God fearin' people wearin' wife beaters and are featured on Cops and other reality shows... We don't need no homos teachin' our kids their evil ways, because they're bad examples for the rest of us. They say that they love each other, but they don't know nuthin' about real marriages.

A real Republican marriage is one where you marry someone you end up hating but you stay together for the kids and to save face with the guys on the golf course. Then we all shower together afterward, and sneak a peak but we don't say nuthin' so it don't matter.

You know us - we're the ones who have an underlying hatred of our spouses, drinking problems, anger issues and kids who end up as miserable as the rest of us. We would rather hate other people who are attempting to live their lives than to accept that we're the stupid ones.

We bible-thumpers will whoop yer asses. Now excuse us while we go back to watching classy shit on the teevee... like All in the Kardashian Family. Them people gots it right, except for the marryin' of negroes.

When a man cannot relate, there are no words that he will understand. These words cannot be, in my opinion, understood without knowing hardship.

Just go to the church one day, speak with the pastor. Pastor folk have a way of explaining that everyone understands.

You are misunderstanding it. It doesn't work that way, you can't ask god for a Mercedes and be given one suddenly.

Your best bet is to go to a Sunday service, it'll all fall in the place once you are there.

You already do, and you don't know it. Christianity is imbued into our culture. You practice some of it every day.

Take "forgiveness" for example. Christianity is the only religion that practices it, and it is evident in our culture and our laws today. You don't have to believe, just try to understand. It's good for the soul. There is a lot of good and a lot of practical advice one can learn.

24   HydroCabron   2014 Jun 28, 12:06pm

Christians are so forgiving, it just about overwhelms me, all this forgiveness and all their faces being a blur with all that cheek turning.

Is there any evidence that American conservative Christians practice the teachings of Jesus?

To judge from conservatives' behavior, Christianity rests on the following principles:

- Hate thy neighbor
- Cherish your grudges until the time is right for revenge
- Worldly success and possessions are the true measure of one's worth

25   New Renter   2014 Jun 28, 12:09pm

FortWayne says

Incorrect!

Forgiveness can be understood as a spiritual practice and has been taught as such by Jesus, the Buddha, and many other spiritual teachers. Webster's Third New International Dictionary defines forgiveness in this manner: "To cease to feel resentment against on account of a wrong committed." This definition is poignantly illustrated in a well-known Tibetan Buddhist story about two monks who encounter each other some years after being released from prison where they had been tortured by their captors. "Have you forgiven them?" asks the first. "I will never forgive them! Never!" replies the second. "Well, I guess they still have you in prison, don't they?" the first says.

http://dharmawisdom.org/teachings/articles/forgiving-unforgivable

Unforgiveness

Buddhists believe that to not forgive gives rise to suffering. It is taught that those who cannot let go of a real or imagined wrong against them are unable to free themselves from hate and that they will suffer because of this. Hatred can, in turn, lead to more widespread suffering, and in turn, more hatred. According to the Dhammapada, “Those who attempt to conquer hatred by hatred are like warriors who take weapons to overcome others who bear arms. This does not end hatred, but gives it room to grow."
Forgiveness

Buddhists believe that atonement, as well as forgiving others as well as ourselves, is an important step on the path towards a better life and towards enlightenment. Giving up hatred and forgiving the harm done to us by others allows us to move on and to achieve peace of mind.

http://people.opposingviews.com/buddhists-beliefs-forgiveness-3445.html

Most world religions include teachings on the nature of forgiveness, and many of these teachings provide an underlying basis for many varying modern day traditions and practices of forgiveness.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forgiveness

FYI,

Jesus probably learned forgiveness from Buddhists.

I think instead of following sound medical advice, we should be Internet Sovereign Citizens. If you get a serious disease, you can fall back on all the medical shows and movies you've watched. You probably just need a last-minute injection of something to spring back from the dead.

Maybe you should go, so you can learn yourself the difference between "your" and "you're." I'm sure that your God will show you the light.

I think "you're" full of shit & hatred for others - especially gay people." Did your God teach you that?

FortWayne says

Did your "pastor folk" teach you hatred - or are you one of those people who exude it from birth?

Perhaps you should send more of your dollars to them thar preachers...

Just curious - is that what your pastor preaches? Hatred?

Shouldn't all neocon, tea party, repub types love being vaccinated? It's a heavy investment in the military forces of your body. "Kill 'em all*, and let god sort 'em out." (all* referring to bacteria, virus, fungus, etc. in this case.)

I suppose though, really, (sigh), vaccination is very "socialist" in nature. It's self care as well as looking out for everyone else. It's really tragic when parents who mean well accidentally kill their children with illness because they don't believe in vaccinations (or think it is responsible for autism.)

This was in my youtube subscriptions today ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQGOcOUBi6s

... pay attention to the helper T and antibodies section. This is what immunizations give you by either giving you a small dose of live virus or dead virus. Essentially, enough to kill off the disease yourself and remember the weapons that work best for next time.

Capn' if you do not get immunized you are a walking disease pot. You shouldn't go near the elderly, infants, or anyone who may already be sick. You could kill 'em. Additionally, as you age, you have a much higher chance of dying from one these horrible monsters of a disease.

Science : saving lives and making life worth living.

37   mell   2014 Jul 1, 2:13pm

Captn, there is the advantage of herd immunity and the possibility of eradicating or severely suppressing a virus/pathogen. Also, theoretically you could pass it on to somebody who cannot take vaccines for health reasons. Having said that, this should not lead to forced vaccinations unless in very extreme cases of deadly epidemics (and only temporally) which there obviously currently aren't any. Not every vaccine is useful (or effective) for an elderly, adult, or kid, and they can certainly be harmful. One thing that can be done is stretching out necessary vaccinations, separating them as much as possible.
