The BBC is no longer going to give equal time to climate deniers. Does that mean that those coal burner pickup trucks might not get a chance to catch on in the UK ? Isn't that fascism ?

Isn't it fascism when you allow facts to go unchallenged by those who would benefit from the facts not being true ? Next thing you know they will be saying that we have to accept evolution, or the fact that Earth is roughly spherical in shape.

Maybe Patrick.net ought to ban racists from posting?

Wow. One word: BenghaziHitlerStalin.

First I can't find a geocentric, non-continental-drift, creationist science teacher for my children, and now this!

Earth is roughly spherical in shape

Pretty presumptuous to conclude that, given the controversy which persists on the issue.

Some say it's a ball; some say it's flat. Clearly the truth lies somewhere in between.

spherical implies 3 dimensions.
only thing you can tell from looking up is a disc like structure. x and y, yes.
z, ???

I understood it was a giant disc supported by elephants which stand on the back of a giant turtle.

But Marcus it's the kind of fascism that you applaud. No reason to hear both sides, just force feed the propaganda that you want them to swallow. Face it Marcus, you LOVE IT.

The point is, that at some point there really aren't two sides.

When will there stop being two sides to the evolution question ? One has to ignore many many scientific facts to deny evolution.

Isn't there really just one side to the question of whether the world is flat or not ?

What confuses this issue is that there is a political party in this country that is afraid of what will happen to the global economy when we acknowledge what we need to do to address global warming. That is when we start setting an example and being a leader for the rest of the world.

Another huge factor is that there are special interests that spend literally billions putting propaganda out there denying climate change and or denying that it's caused by man. That's what real propaganda is. Trying to convince the world that a lie is the truth.

See this is what many republicans don't understand. Especially the kind of republicans that love to get their emotions all cranked up listening to talk radio and fox news.

FACTS ARE NOT PROPAGANDA !

When does a fact become a fact ? What, virtually all scientists agreeing isn't enough for you ?

Oh, maybe you can find some little email somewhere implying some minor flaw in one tiny piece of data. Hey, maybe you can even find one scientist who was biased in the way he or she obtained their data. Maybe you can find a veritable Benghazi of climate research ! Anything to distract us from dealing with the truth, when there is so much money hinging on us denying it.

IT doesn't matter. At some point we have to deal with reality. In this case sooner is better than later.
