Yes. Right wingers do live in their own bubble of ignorance and hate, and they definitely do have serious issues with facts, truth and reasoning in general.

It's only the last of these that I try to help kids practice, and fortunately it's in the context of Mathematics.

So far, right wingers haven't been challenging Mathematical concepts and truths. But give them time, I'm sure they will eventually, if they want the future republicans to be sufficiently incapable of the most basic use of logic and reasoning.

As for me, I never get in to politics with students. I wouldn't even know how to do that in an unbiased way, but I know some history teachers that do this fairly well. Actually a couple of them are conservatives believe it or not, and friends of mine. Yes, it's true, conservatives (republicans) teaching in public schools.

I'm sure you think the reason that the federal reserve is "pushing on a string" with their monetary policy, the advent of "QE" and the liquidity trap that goes back to 2009, are somehow all Obama's fault.
