So I sent e-mails to our two Senators, Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray, about two months ago, after the latest disclosure of Goldman Sachs securities fraud. This particular crime wave of selling fraudulent securities occurred under Hank Paulson, which I pointed out to our representatives, and merely asked for a yes or no response to the question – Did you vote to confirm Hank Paulson. I have heard zippo back. Usually their interns respond in 2-4 weeks, typically with an irritatingly canned script that never addresses the question posed to the Senator.

So I am a bit puzzled about the lack of response. Do they not have a canned script for this simple question that can help them evade responsibility for voting to confirm a financial criminal? Are they so embarrassed about the inconvenient truth that we have a two-tiered justice system that they would rather avoid an answer on how they voted? Or is this the final straw, explaining the van that has been parked on the street for the last two months?

You ask a rhetorical question, you get no answer.
