People seem to be getting on to the fact that "purposeful" tax increases are nothing purposeful, just naked grabs for more to serve the politicians, public extortion unions and cronies.
They should have raised it to the point where soda was as expensive as beer. In europe actually oftentimes, beer is cheaper than soda when going out to eat which definitely increases the satisfaction of the customer.
