I need to resurrect this topic, as it's now becoming impending future.

Yes, it's true, in the future, robotic/expert systems will perform much of the work, which is paying our bills today.

http://www.marshallbrain.com/robotic-nation.htm

Thus, it's imperative that we plan for the collapse of functional society, as a *function* of low cost supercomputing and expert systems. This planning, however, should not result in what the conservatives fear... the Nanny State of Sweden or some other nation with exorbitant "cradle-to-grave" taxes.

Instead, the govt will need to exert a type of CPU/bandwidth cost averaging type of surcharge/tax, on computing services. This will need to be paid by all users, corporate and individual. Then, as time goes by, we need to determine which group of workers will be structurally displaced and put 'em on social assistance. This money will then be put back into the economy, so that the money velocity of sorts is retained.

As high speed computing keeps accelerating up its parabola, more and more people will be out of work and on welfare. In the end, it'll only be the owners and the top AI/expert system designers, who'll be employed. All other work will be done by machines. When that occurs, we'll have a stable welfare society with the elite dole bungers, producing literature, music, and the arts.

At the same time, hopefully enough sex robots to keep the population from rebelling.

we need to go into space.

were actually witnessing the

1) end of 'work'

2) beginning of The Space Age

in the next 2000 years we will colonize all the planets of the Solar System.

65M on welfare end of Obama's term.

Nearly there.

3   HydroCabron   2014 Nov 24, 4:06am

I think we can all agree that, in an era of electronics, big data, automation and mass technology, a government designed for a pre-industrial agrarian backwater is best!

Looks like now that this topic is resurrected, it appears that there are fewer ppl so don't believe that this won't happen.

Oh, I think they have already been planning.
Pre-positioning military hardware in virtually every police precinct in the nation.
And USNORTHCOM (some George W. Bullshit from 2002), THEY have a plan……to suspend Posse Comitatus and get the drones in the air.

it's going to create big problems for groups such as blacks. They have very little cultural and genetic background to go where we are going.

also Jews will be even more powerful because they are basically a race of hyper-literates.

7   Heraclitusstudent   2014 Nov 24, 4:30am

There are several solutions:
1 - Make production a free public service done automatically by robots. Give away welfare money all around and let people live a life of leisure and sloth.
2 - "Butlerian Jihad"
3 - Upload the populace into computers where they can boink 24/24 unhampered by physical limitations and without polluting the planet, and live eternally until the disk is full and purged.
4 - the AF solution

8   indigenous   2014 Nov 24, 4:40am

Admittedly availability of jobs will be affected. But remember 90+% of workers were farmers now it is less than 5%.

The real problem is a lack of investment in capital goods. Remember Say's law is the real indicator on this problem. Although it is very well hidden because of the Keynesian trope.

Its effects are hidden because it's false.

By praxeology, falsehood is no justification for abandoning belief in an assertion.

Ok we have been trying Keynesianism for 100 yr and Japan at least 25, how are they working out for us?

No.

Keynesianism began in 1933. Massive deficit spending during growth periods (Nixon, Reagan, Bush II) is not Keynesian.

Ours has not been a Keynesian path.

You people really don't understand human psychology.

People saying it will turn into an arts and culture universe are fools.

The worlds far more likely to look like free jack rather than Wall-E or the Capitol in Hunger Games.

People who are given all life's neessities, and little else, tend to lose desire, ambition, and intelligence.

Wanna see what a community looks like when housing and food are 100% provided to them? There's a spot to the north east of the 110/105 interchange in Los Angeles I'd like to take you. Let's go trollop down Grape Street.

an even better example:

well what are we to do? will we give them jobs to keep them busy? we tried that already all they want to do is buy rims for their cars and sing rap music about killing white ppl.

we could of course create a nasty disease to keep population levels low.

but the real problem is ppl like New Renter, who use these ppl to achieve their political goals.

While I'm not sure I agree with the racial connotations in your postings(I'm sure theres other parts of the country...Appalacia comes to mind...where theres tons of white people on the dole that could prove the same point), I do note that you see the real problem...and that is callous, even evil, people using population to exert control.

Plainly said, there are bad people in the world and due to their desire to control others, they tend to rise to prominent positions in life.

Hell, Rin, you posted this and you engage in evil acts. Not purely because you pay for sex...that in and of itself is neutral I think. But how exactly do you think that women get involved in fucking for pay? Very very few just decide oh, I can make money while having sex, and certainly not the ones you find hot. So plainly put, you are a predator, at least as far as you participate in an endeavor that takes advantage of people in a particular situation. Why would you attribute politicians and business owners of the future to be altruistic, when you yourself are on some level incapable of such behavior?

For generations, French-Canadian women have been having rich boyfriends. So yes, they like it because in comparison to being a secretary, it's easy work.

No one likes to do real work. If they already screw around, why not just do it with a rich fellow than a poor one?

Then why did you think robots displacing people from "real work" would be a problem? Since "no one likes to do real work" anyway. People will just figure out whatever different positions of screwing that the sexbots aren't programmed to do yet.

After a few generations of 'bots, humans will simply not be able to compete. Can you imagine a three or four way with Raquel Welch, Sophia Loren, and Joan Collins, all rolling around, covered in oil, playing submission/domination games, and inviting you in, as a player-referee?

And with absolutely no chance of getting slapped with a paternity suit, no whining about making an honest women out of her, no STDs ever regardless of how raw it gets, no jeleousy (unless you're into that kind of thing), no blathering conversations that you don't want, no whining for presents, no headaches or other excuses, no expensive shopping trips. No drama at all.

OTOH it might get kind of boring after a while. One should be lucky to live that long.

What boredom? Raquel is also my research assistant in my lab.

Plus, I also have a girl band, which can perform classics by Annie Lennox, Chrissie Hynde, Tina Turner, and so on.

And yes, I'll program in some jealousy scenarios like who's got the nicest assets and which ones are doing it for me, during the orgies. Yes, it can be quite entertaining.

How is that substantively different from masturbating while watching porn?

Part of the challenge in playing with real women is that, sometimes you do not win. How many times do you want to play tennis against a kid that guarantees your own win?

Similar to arguing economics with liberals? It gets old, even a one eyed man is king in the land of the blind.

Isn't that basically just adding another subroutine where sometimes, Raquel says no but then, has a one on one with Sophia, while getting Joan jealous? You can be a spectator when those fuzzy controllers kick in. A variant on that theme is that Joan then tries to scheme with you, to break up the other hotties. There's a lot that can done to keep things interesting.

Too complicated. Get uploaded: you'll just have to push the button to get a 24h orgasm and be ready to do it again.

No. There are zillions of ways in real life the outcome is less than one wishes for, and it's not just whether getting sex or not, but often the after-math. I'm not jaded enough to think all outcomes can be anticipated ahead of time. I just had a very unexpected outcome with a girl half my age recently. Life is a learning experience.

LOL. I think I erred on the side of being too non-aggressive and non-controlling, precisely because of the fear you mentioned. I can see why many young hotties fall for the real thugs with nothing to lose. It is a dilemma.

Once again, given the culture/society we live in, tells me that an bunch of expert system 'bots of Ms Welch, Ms Loren, and Ms Collins, beats being around a bunch of college age bimbos (even if they have a 4.0) who can take a man to the cleaners.
