It has the right mixture of history, fiction, and orgy. The cinematography is amazing. Nudity is artfully done. Kublai Khan kicks ass. $90M well spent.

Why would anyone watch The Game of Thrones instead?

I have been watching it myself.
I would have prefered it in Mongolian and Cantonese with English subtitles.
At first I thought it must have been overdubbed but then I saw on the ending credits it was made in Malaysia. Where they have a bigger "Proper English" hang up, unlike the mainland Chinese. I think I would have even prefered a thick heavy Chinese accent if it was an English script.
These guys sound more like Shakespeare thespians than Chinese Opera.

That being said, God bless them all. What a command performance they are all giving. That Benedict Wong who is playing Kublai Khan sounds more like Richard Widmark or Peter O'toole or some fine actor in that caliber of actor than pretty much any westerner in any movie currently in theaters.

The only thing that gets me is that culture bender in the dialect. The cast almost sounds better suited to be doing Othello than a story about Marco Polo.

The show has a mostly western audience.

Come on, "Russians" in The Hunt for Red October all spoke English. :-)

Currently, The Mindy Project is the only TV show we watch. Networks have very little to offer nowadays. Perhaps much less in the future. Other than sports and news there is no reason for broadcasts.

I don't like Netflix's House of Cards though. They made it way too serious. The BBC version is much funnier.

Can't wait to see Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Yes Mindy and Lena Dunham the only sanctioned fat people by the Left.

I bet if these girls played a more conservative roles, the media would be ridiculing every fat roll and fold on their Moo moo clad bodies. But since they like to run around naked and are willing to devote air time to the queer agenda. They are nothing but media darlings.

That being said, I too can't stop watching the trainwreck that is the Mindy project.

But it's more because I always thought Ike Barinholtz was that guy who played Seth Greene's brother in the Rowan Atkins 2001 movie Rat Race.
The guy still gives the show comedy where Mindy and the other characters may fall flat, he's there to keep the show in Comedy realm and not squarely planted in pinkroom Chick flick nonsense.

Mindy is not fat, just "normal American woman size." :-)

It is easily the best show on TV right now.

The show is entertaining, but if the Duck Dynasty used half of the dialog and subjects that Mindy uses on that show. Chick Filet would be taken off the air.

I cannot stand Sex in the City though. Cougars Run Amok would have been a more appropriate title.

I love shows written by smart women featuring interesting women.
