Strong dollar hurts U.S. exports, trade deficit largest since 2012

The Commerce Department said today that the U.S. trade deficit jumped by 17.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014. At $46.6 billion dollars, the increase was the largest since November of 2012 and the biggest percentage increase since July of 2009.

It seems like this is a blip on the trend that will bring more manufacturing to the US. Although the price of oil has a lot to do with this as well.
