Can't make a new post with a youtube link. Without it, it's fine. It's the "Great Comedy that would be impossible today."

And this post "Failed to post. Are you still connected to the internet?"

Removed it and posted just fine.

I received that same error this afternoon when posting from my phone. Haven't seen it happen from the laptop. Could it be a mobile issue?

@Patrick - Are you working on the user part of the site? Clicked on the 10,975 users link just now. Went through and some users past comments load and others don't.

Cool. No biggie. I assume your username may not show up at the top when you're tooling around with changes to the site. Wasn't sure if it was some foreign agent or not since I didn't see you logged in. I was thinking it was the Malaysians trying to bring the operation down.

It's fine to have free speech without wallowing in ad hom insult slinging.

What changed? Prior to the election of Trump, this oddly didn’t matter to the same people who all of a sudden in early 2017, something changed. All of a sudden, civility became important. Free Speech became less important. Bizarre

@TwoScoopsPlissken OK you should be able to post YouTube videos again. The problem was that I was trying to allow certain styles so that blockquotes could be in a different color, and that managed to conflict with YouTube somehow.
166   anonymous   ignore (null)   2018 Mar 6, 3:29am   ↑ like (0)   ↓ dislike (0)   quote

@Patrick is it just YouTube specifically or is it a clash with the fact that hyperlinks post as blue causing the problem?

If you click on your own name or icon, and then 'edit profile', you should be able to change your timezone and then all the timestamps should be in that timezone.

Let me know if it does not work for you.

I agree. The unremitting personal attacks on Trump are kind of tedious, especially when they are completely evidence-free.

Yes, the site should not be a competition for likes or number of comments. It should just be people talking to try to gain useful insights from each other about housing, politics, economics, etc.

The silence in general was deafening

Trump himself ran with the birther crap for years.

Patnet sent Obama packing with a “bye bye, nigger boy!”. Nary a peep

What in the flying fuck did these people expect the reaction was going to be to their eight years of ODS, and the incivility they promoted?

Most of us aren’t cucked ass bitches with daddy issues dreaming of getting reamed by Daddy Trump.

What do you think it says when FortReagan here says with almost every single post "Liberals are ..." (some stinking straw man to scorn)

What is up with that? It's abusive venting after Fox, 4chan, Breitbart & InfoWars pushed all your buttons that's what.

All that stuff you call liberal media are just what remains of news media after Fox came on the scene with unparalleled backing pulling your strings every day. What are they all supposed to do, keep trying to sell real news that doesn't have emotional pull? or start dumbing themselves down until they draw an audience for their sponsors?

Where are the liberals saying with every stinking comment that "right wingers are ... " (some stinking straw man to scorn)

Does everybody not realize that we would still be paying tribute to the king of England if it weren't for liberal politics?

Is it really a substitute for "damned yankees are ...(some stinking straw man to scorn)?" It sounds that way. Is this the south rising agin?

Our social breakdown closely compares to the rise of popular fascism under Mussolini. And now, shock of shocks, Italy goes right wing ... again.

It's just an imprecise term, it should be leftists. The true and original liberals are today's right-wingers and libertarians. The left has just veered completely to the extreme while the right has veered closer to the (commons-sense) middle. That's why you see elections the way turn out they do currently.

What else can happen here, except be an echo chamber for the fake grievances and attacks every day.

Talking heads make big money every day feeding you red meat that makes you feel so smart you just have to spread it around for us all to admire, [sic] pledging their allegiance, pounding their podiums and crying real tears on camera. --with that you must have a non-believer to scorn

What won't get badgered until it finds a better use for precious free time?

Bourgeois Liberalism

is how Liberalism started. Adam Smith, etc. Closest to Libertarians likely. They were likely mostly Christians, and the Marxists and communists (extreme left) hated them.

There is some really heady profit-gouging stink about this crisis. Other countries don't have this problem at all. EVEN COUNTRIES WHERE THESE DRUGS ARE SOLD OVER THE COUNTER!!!

The solution is always to arrest a lot of people and force them to support corrections counselors and racketeer doctors. --never calling it slavery

Really the cause of all our social cancer is our own murderous greed for stock market gains because none of us can look forward to any defined pension any more and at the same time social security is getting fucked up the ass, mostly by Republicans.

What else can you do? --buy guns, drive humvees, grow yams ... you see how this shit plays out?

There is no solution to the opioid crisis, Either you let people be free - which includes free to wreck themselves - or not. I am for legalization of all drugs, but it won't be a solution. Either way the amount of addicts roughly stays the same, but at least you get rid of some of the crime around it.

The FF were Christians, I doubt they would have voted for recreational drug use, even though they were big on personal liberty. It's about the context.
