The developer of 58 affordable apartment units on Riviera Avenue is being allowed to provide fewer parking spaces than would usually be required for a project of that size. Resources for Community Development, the nonprofit builder, asked the City Council last week to allow 21 parking spaces for 30 units at the 1515 Riviera Ave. site and 29 spaces for 28 units at the 1738 Riviera Ave. site. If elected dictator, I would execute developers for not building in ample parking.
