NPR did a piece on the hospitals and the high cost of healthcare, and the ACA playing catch up with their rising prices.
They said Florida had 15 of the nations highest 24 Hospitals.
I'm not surprised we Elect Republican Governors, and Democrat Governors that we find on the scrap heap of Florida's biggest industry lobbyists.
Then when their term is up, they change parties and jump right back in.
• Columbia billed Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs for tests that were not necessary or had not been ordered by physicians;
• The company attached false diagnosis codes to patient records to increase reimbursement to the hospitals;
• The company illegally claimed non-reimbursable marketing and advertising costs as community education;
• Columbia billed the government for home health care visits for patients who did not qualify to receive them.
Now they bill the insurance company and the insurance company passes it along to you, until you reach your 25K annual max out of pocket expense.
