HOw about a ten year no trial mandatory prison sentence for anyone caught with a gun that isn't registered to them.
That's on top of and besides and crime that they may have commited at the time they were stopped.
That will do two things. Make the guys with illegal guns more desparate when they are pulled over for routine traffic stops, and create an increase in Police traffic stop homicides.
