Not sure if this is a Title IX investigation, but it has all the Due Process violations indicative of such. Maybe ignoring Due Process is simply the new fad- it does get in the way of getting the desired result at times.

Democracy is great if you can afford it, or if your case is politically lucrative.

So he shouldn't sue, because not everyone has that option when they're being screwed?

When you're shortchanged by a cashier, do you sy nothing because, say, a deaf mute or someone who only speaks Basque would be unable to complain?

He should only be allowed to sue on his own damn dime.
Then we could all afford democracy equally. Instead of our court system being a theater where legal thespians act out the democratic part at he expense of a huge pay out.
The defendants don't get squat, the lawyers gets 10's of millions of dollars, and companies just pass the cost of the whole production on those who couldn't even afford any of it.

"He should only be allowed to sue on his own damn dime." Exactly, the rich value justice more than the poor because they are willing to pay more for it. Can't have the rabble getting access to justice; which, along with fair play and due process belong to the wealthy. I mean how else can you keep the commoners in their place.
Seriously Tenpoundass you got sidetracked in irrelevancies. This was about the increasing tendency to disregard due process, justice, and fair play in favor of Star Chamber like proceedings guaranteed to produce conviction and make it seem like guilt. Femanazis love it and have incorporated it into all sexual harassment and now sexual assault investigations Accusation is proof of guilt when the accused is not told the charges, allowed to see 'evidence' against them, has no right to cross examination or to produce witnesses or evidence and so on. Further this is about the misuse of resources by LA Unified administrators and enormous imbalance of power and resources they have over anyone they want to investigate.
What will you do the day you are accused of rape? Why be found guilty of course. It will change your life for the worse. How will you feel? Pissed off and rightly so.
So really this is a deeply and fundamentally conservative problem of reigning in government power. Maybe that is too complicated for some people to grasp, but the danger is real.
