Use Tor and never log into a Google, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, or other popular service account.

God damn it you just sold me on Apple!
But doesn't Apple have their own glowing Brain on a pedestal in a Cave scraping thoughts around the globe?
Is it even possible to live in America and have a normal home and work life without letting Google spy on you? If so, how can it be done? Here are some ideas:
* Use https://duckduckgo.com/ instead of Google for searches, so Google doesn't know what you're searching for.
* Use https://www.openstreetmap.org/ instead of Google maps, so Google doesn't know what locations you're interested in.
* Use the iPhone rather than Android, so Google doesn't know your phone number, where you are, what apps you have, or have the ability to listen in on you. (Though Apple could)
* Use any other mail provider than Gmail, preferably hosted on your own server.
Other ideas?
Some things that are really hard to get around:
* When your employer uses Gmail for employee email.
* Google maps driving directions. Does any other service provide free driving directions to your phone?
