Well, the system is far from perfect. IT clearly failed Tenpundass in helping him acquire critical thinking skills or communication skills for that matter. But it's the system we have, and it's actually quite good at most public schools. Most parents rate their children's schools well, and a vast number of the students attending our best colleges and universities (those well educated folks that Tenpoundass looks down upon), went to U.S public schools.

Schools are always looking for ways to do better, especially serving children from socioeconomic groups that on average under-perform other groups. Having private entities take over a lot of education is not the answer, but it's the goal of many plutocrats. The propaganda that right wing retards such as TPB believe is an attempt to kill something that's as much a fundamental part of what makes the U.S great as anything. What they would like to do is skim the best students to go to private for profit public schools, and leave special ed and poor kids only to be educated in public schools. What kind of school culture does that provide those kids for their daily lives during their formative years ?

Public Education, like health care is not a place where the profit motive should be the be the driving force. Especially in the case of education since those profits would come from taxes of some kind anyway- that is government spending.

In my opinion, if they succeed in privatizing public education in this country, we will know for sure that America's greatest days are behind us.

Funny, the students know better and interesting there were black students in the mix. Look the kid was disruptive and refused to listen to 3 different adults. he should be reinstated and the sherriff fired for pandering to freaks who make their living by crying racism.

It certainly isn't. It seemed like for awhile every time I read a newspaper there was a story about a teacher's misconduct involving their students--apparently it's more common that even I realized:
