Reuters Russian President Vladimir Putin chairs the Security Council meeting at the Bocharov Ruchei state residence in Sochi, Russia, on Nov. 13, 2015. Russian President Vladimir Putin appealed to Western leaders to bury their differences with Russia and jointly strike at the "barbarian" Islamic State (ISIS) militants in Syria, saying Friday's Paris terrorist attack underscored the need for such concerted action. In a condolences telegram sent to French President Francois Hollande, Putin said, "This tragedy is another proof of the barbarian nature of terrorism, which challenges the human civilisation.

He's such a damned Leader now why hasn't anyone else thought of that?

Can't wait to hear what Oblunder says now at the G20 Summit.
He'll probably ask for France's cool aid jug since they wont be drinking out of it any more for a while.

Hey Thunder, can we borrow Putin to train Obama?

This is a mistake. Terrorist drove the Russians out of Afghanistan in the 80s. Whomever they kill will be replaced by angry civilians who learn to hate.

That's a very romantic thought. Actually America's drug addiction drove the Russians out of Afghanistan courtesy of Reagan, H.W. Bush and Ollie North.
Our Propaganda machine had to rewrite history when Bush was having to put forth the argument of going over and stomping a mudhole in the ass of the assholes we created.

It's a sad day when a president of Russia is a symbol, and our president is a failed food stamp welfare king. Obama is no Ronnie.

It's a sad day when US citizens have such short memories. Was it Putin that killed Bin Laden? Or the other top members or Al Qaeda? Putin can't even protect Russian citizens flying back from vacation. Yes, he's the answer.

Indy, it's not the same scenario. The Russians, after suffering losses, decided it's not worth fighting a guerilla war in a sparsely populated and strategically unimportant area. It was actually a human act to do so. Today they are threatened within their own territory and so are their civilians.

Yep, sad.. considering that plane took off from a Russian airport just before it got blown out of the sky.

It is sad, I agree. But it didn't take off from a Russian airport. Are you implying that Russia can't and shouldn't be expected to protect its citizens on Russian airlines throughout the world?

A NATO member country has been attacked
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Member_states_of_NATO
France has been a member of NATO since April 4, 1949

For a total military personal of 7.3 million. Add Russia numbers to that, and it's certainly way more than what's needed to easily wipe out ISIS/ISIL quickly and anyone else dumb enough to get in the way.

France has already declared war. WHY THE FUCK HAVEN"T WE (and the rest of NATO) declared war on ISIS/ISL already??

Oh yeah, it's because Obama is a limp wristed, bed wetting liberal.

Obama has nothing to do with these things. Military has been searching for them for years, when they find them the only thing Obama gets to do is give them an ok to finish the mission. Military would do better with a president who understands it and not sits around talking about how more women and gays should serve openly in the army.

How could I forget. Obama is only responsible for the bad things that happen. The good things happen despite him.

I mean a regular declaration of war, like we did in WW1 & WW2.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declaration_of_war_by_the_United_States

Because if you want to win, you need to wage total war.

Not really, Dropping 20 bombs (like France just did) is not a real war, or a "huge engagement" (as reported by the media)..

Here are some examples of a huge engagements:

That's why I want to carpet bomb the whole area.

It's like when you have a real bad infestation of roaches in your house.... Spray bombs aren't going to work, you sometimes have to just burn your house down.

Yep, FBG is right. Now what? You've just created another 100,000 jihadists in neighboring countries. Do you bomb them now too? Do you bomb Saudi? Kuwait? Even after you nuke the Middle East, you still have terror networks throughout Europe, Singapore, etc. One of the Paris bombers was from Brussels. How is your fantasy going to end?

We should bomb them with x-rated pictures of mohammed until they become numb to the concept of defending him...

That plan is probably better than the one we've been pursuing for the last 20 years.

ou really think every refugee can be accounted for and sent back to be bombed? That's precious. You really think we have the capability to bomb every motherfucking tent and Toyota in Syria and Iraq and occupy every linear foot of their borders (when we can't even do that with our own) so they can't get out and scarper off to buttfuckistan and hide out in a cave until we get distracted by football and MMA chicks beating the snot outta each other (we, as a nation, have our priorities, ya know) so they can just restart the whole shitshow again?

Yes. Yes. If there is a will, there is a way. If we fight against ISIS the same way we fought WW2, then yes. If we end up wiping it clean and turning it into a colony populated with people from Western countries, then that's OK too. Whatever it takes. Way better then a limp wristed never ending effort. I say rip off the proverbial bandaid and get it over with. Yes, we could do it ourselves if needed, but with as many allies as we have with this that seems unnecessary.
