A moment of silence for the victims of the Paris attacks was booed by Turkish fans Tuesday during a friendly game against Greece, Reuters reported. Reuters reporter Ece Toksabay tweeted that the fans booed the minute of silence before breaking out into a chant of “Allah Akbar.

so what's the most effective way to get the point across?

i was chatting with a very PC relative on facebook, who did the usual "islam is the religion of peace" thing, and i said, uh, actually it's not. not even close, and if you read the koran and hadith you see this very clearly...

and of course she unfriended me.

so that wasn't very effective. some people are really determined not to see what is in front of their eyes, because it's too painful.

how can they be reached, if at all? it's very important, because their votes and voices are needed to keep us safe from islam.

Patrick says:" some people are really determined not to see what is in front of their eyes, because it's too painful."

Or too stupid as in,Democratic & Republican voters.

Too much 'in your face'.
Reality needs to be gently re-introduced to the Rose Colored Crowd...otherwise, you are shut down immediately.
ie:
"islam is the religion of peace" thing,
"Well, I really want to believe that, but how do you come to grips with ...." and hit them with one thing only.....

Like "One a Day' vitamins, once a day, every day.

and i said, uh, actually it's not. not even close, and if you read the koran and hadith you see this very clearly...

What is so painful about the truth? How did the idiot IHLary voting bloc become so brainwashed to defend jihad against innocent, peaceful folk?

If you don't want to get blown to pieces by a holy rolling muslim, you're a racist! Wtf

5   Y   2015 Nov 20, 10:01am

Parting with one's ideology is the painful part...

It's the inability to separate Loser Assholes from the Oppressed, some kind of Cog Diss.

You got people, in the UK for example, who will scream bloody murder about Fundie Mormon Polygamy happening an Ocean Away.

Then yell racist at those who don't want Fundie Polygamists living next door in Birmingham and wonder why UK Laws against Polygamy aren't being enforced.

It's great that no LEO & other White Trash Americans have never shot down another American in the streets.
It's OK for Americans to kill Americans they are never terrorist.

Critical thinking is dying.

freaking pathetic, not unlike the people who can't stand dissenting opinion on this website and put people on ignore. The worst are the people who put others on ignore and then still continue to respond to their comments

I remember the other day, I came across this mormon product of polygamy who went on to become a suicide bomber....oh wait, that actually never happened.

OTOH to say the attached is mutually exclusive is the corollary to "some people are really determined not to see what is in front of their eyes, because it's too painful."

The evidence is overwhelming that they are not mutually exclusive.

And I watched this man bleed out. The missile had taken off one of his legs right above the knee. And I watched him bleed out of his femoral artery. And he’s rolling on the ground, and I can—I imagined his last moments.

I've never seen a drone camera that can provide this level of detail the camera operator is describing...I have to assume the whole story is bogus until links to camera footage are provided...

Doesn't change the point, that the US should get out of the empire business.

14   indigenous   2015 Nov 21, 6:36pm

The empire state?

I'm talking about 18 to 25% of the budget going to the military. And the never ending search for the bogey man in order to justify this kind of money.

You have to read the Koran first to be a suicide bomber.

19   Y   2015 Nov 22, 8:04am

Why do you think the subs are being built for stinky terrorists?
They will come in handy when putin invades the baltics. There's no way NATO will get any land forces there once that hell starts up...or ships nearby.
Subs is the way to go!!

For that matter, I can envision Trump stationing 40k troops on the baltic/russian border in response to putins recent aggressions.
He won't give a fuck about public opinion or what's PC...

I can't. I can imagine him joining hands to thump ISIS.

As for Baltic States "Look, people, I've been in business forever. You don't risk your core business in order to save a Potato Field that loses money year after year."

22   lostand confused   2015 Nov 22, 10:07am

You can't beat them, join them?? Maybe it is time for us to become Muslim men, get a harem , scream discrimination/racism/cultural genocide/western colonialism at every turn, live on public assistance and never work a day in our life??

Dudes like these rile up the young men to blow themselves up, while they accumulate all the women.

23   Y   2015 Nov 22, 10:38am

The risk to the core business is putin destroying NATO by taking NATO land without any response.
That sends a message to all NATO members that nothing is protected...

That's happened where? NATO is advancing Eastward, Russia isn't advancing Westward.

Poland has a large population. Romania and Bulgaria are decent sized countries. But what do the Baltic States bring to the game except large Russian ethnic minorities who were retroactively stripped of their citizenship?

It couldn't possibly be that they were invited to create a useful potential flashpoint, right?

Ukraine is flat out of the Question, as is Georgia. Just like Mexico would never be allowed to host Chinese J-7 Squadrons, no matter how democratic the elections of the politicians in favor were.

Nowhere, but the bear is baring his claws. Best to slow expansionism with some kind of beehive exposure..

All predicted by George Kennan

"NATO will expand over Russian objections, claiming it's all peaceful and not aimed at Russia. Then they'll try for Ukraine or Georgia, and when the Russians react they'll scream 'Russia is an Aggressor! See - we need NATO"

Government programs are hard to kill. Lots of Eurocrats in NATO... need a reason to keep collecting the salary.
