"Snowden paved the way for french massacre"
"Terrorists learned how to bypass modern intelligence gathering and to use encrypted apps due to snowden revelations.."
"He needs to be brought back to US, tried and convicted of treason, and hung by the neck"
"The blood of the french victims is on his hands"

This is damning evidence...

But Snowden ratted them for spying on Americans more than actually using it to listen in on Terror network chatter.
Let's not forget that according to Obama all of the Terrorists are White Christians.

Can you imagine?
They spent all these billions building this mass spying infrastructure, which the terrorists now easily avoid, building their own encryption tools, and all the intelligence they gather now are lame discussions between average joes.
I would be mad too.

Government calls for encryption ‘back door’ after Paris attack, but is it worth it?

Oh yeah, because I'm sure terrorists trust the "encrypted end-to-end" Apple iCloud and Google phones with their secrets.

It's well known that the government complains it doesn't have a back door really, REALLY means they don't have one.

If this is the only way the NSA will save us, I'd say we're rather screwed.

I wonder if snowden and assange are on the fertilizer list somewhere out there.

5   HEY YOU   2015 Nov 21, 7:54am

9/11 could not have happened without Snowden.

6   lostand confused   2015 Nov 21, 8:42am

Sigh, sometimes I wonder if these terrorists are funded by big gubmnt. After all there is no hero without a villain-if there is no terrorists-100s of billions of dolalrs a year will not need to be spent.

7   anonymous   2015 Nov 21, 8:45am

I've been fighting to get the back door for years, but it remains elusive

Important Note: OBL was not captured by monitoring SIM Cards or tracking Emails via XKeyscore. He was located using HUMINT - a disaffected Pakistani Officer coming to the US with that information. It was an open secret in Pakistan that he was living down the road from their West Point.

AQ and other groups knew the US was using Cell Phone Tracking and Internet Mass Collection a decade before Snowden; AQ's own manuals were full of techniques, like switching phones with non-combatants, which is why we end up killing Wedding Parties all the time.

By the way, in the long view of History, I believe our condoning of Pakistan's nuclear weapon program will turn out to be a horrendous disaster of Biblical Proportions.

Almost as bad as our decision not to let India conquer and then puppet/divide Pakistan in 1971.

They have a hundred or so nukes. An extremist country that harbors the most wanted Islamic terrorist. Hates the Hindus, Jews and Americans. A country run by religious generals. Dead broke and dependent on handouts. Sucks up to the Saudis, and religious fundamentalists. Already caught selling nuclear technology to other Muslim countries.
How do we prevent a disaster of Biblical Proportions under those circumstances, seems impossible.

Here's an atrocity we allowed our "Ally" Pakistan to commit: a great slaughter in Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) by Pakistan (and the victims were mostly Hindus and Democrats). Our backing of Pakistan in East Pakistan (Bangladesh) what set off the whole War to Start with.

http://www.rediff.com/news/slide-show/slide-show-1-1971-war-why-nixon-kissinger-hated-india-indira-gandhi/20131216.htm

Brief Background: Bangladesh had about the same population as East Pakistan, but (West) Pakistan had the whole government system rigged so that all the power rested in Islamabad and "West" Pakistan. In the elections prior to the Pak Army going on a rampage in East Pakistan, and East Pakistani won a majority of votes but skulldruggery among West Pakistani parties denied him Control of the Government. Today there is only Pakistan, as a result of this war and India kicking the shit out of Pakistan as usual.

This is a long read, but the long and the short of it is that Nixon and Kissinger conspired to get Jordan, Turkey, Iran, and SA to send fighters to Pakistan even though it was against US law - apparently at the time Congress prohibited the transfer of US-Made equipment to belligerents without Congressional Approval.

India could be the key ally in preventing Pakistan from proliferating nukes. I believe Indians are peaceful, and have an interest in controlling the "Islamic bomb"
It's only the Islamic nations on this planet who are totally screwed up.

Did the "intelligence community" lose some surveillance capability because of Snowden's revelation or because those capabilities were found to be unconstitutional and unlawful? If they were lawful, why would his revelations have been damaging?
