this indeed is a badge of honor!

You are not in compliance with Participation Requirement Number 1 and the Operating Agreement because the sites you are sending traffic from are considered unsuitable for inclusion in the Associates Program (they contain sexually explicit, violent, libelous/defamatory materials or promote discriminatory or illegal activities).

They would not answer my request for a clarification of exactly which of their rules had been violated. Sublime proof that politically incorrect speech will not be tolerated by our owners.

no reason given.

only what you see above.

Patrick says

the sites you are sending traffic from

What "sites" (plural) does that mean? PatNet (one site), or the sites PatNet links to, or site(s) PatNet visitors have visited as indicated by tracking cookies or browser history?

When I mention a book, I usually link to the Amazon page for that book, though I didn't even know about any Associates program. I haven't linked to any books that would meet the description above, but I've linked to Noam Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent, Bonner & Wiggin's Empire of Debt, and George Orwell's 1984, for example. I'll stop doing that, since evidently they don't want traffic from here.

Maybe you should re-title it the Politically Correct Tapioca Pablum Forum.

5   youareworthless   2016 Apr 18, 5:37pm

I think you need to have your most erudite, cordial, genteel contributor write an appeal for you.

I nominate Diefuckingbankofamerica, if his day job writing children's books isn't keeping him too busy!

Look at Patrick with the quick stealthy edit on comment 2. Quit being all PC, poobah pat

what is amazon associates?

8   Ceffer   2016 Apr 18, 5:49pm

Maybe Amazon Associates is a league of IHL Social Justice Warriors and Enforcers of Politically Correct Speech. Lesbo Ayatollahs!

Yes, AF would be the perfect gentlemanly diplomat to address such a body.

If he renames this website "Gay Cowboys Eating Pudding", I bet Amazon let's him back in.

Start a new web site.
Have "Patrick.net" forward whatever to the new web site.
The new web site can be an Amazon Associate.

11   lostand confused   2016 Apr 18, 6:11pm

Doesn't Amazon sell porn?? But they can't tolerate free speech???

12   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Apr 18, 6:34pm

Yet Amazon sells god-knows-how-many millions in Female Porn (aka Romance Novels).

They also sell dildos, lingerie and sex swings.

my best guess is that someone like hydrocarbon, someone who has swallowed the Narrative hook, line, and sinker, "reported" patrick.net to amazon for allowing comments which are outside the current bounds of politically correct speech, free speech be damned if it doesn't agree with them.

well, that's $4.23 each month i'll have to do without.

sorry, no. i'd be impressed if they did. you have some tough competition on the site.

16   anonymous   2016 Apr 18, 6:44pm

I think it was the spoiler alert about IHLary gearing up to release the Dworkin golem

17   thenuttyneutron   2016 Apr 18, 6:44pm

I think it is a shame that we can't have those annoying Amazon ads on patrick.net! If this site were an Amazon Associate, we could also sell useless shit to other people on the internet. Imagine the lost profit potentials because Amazon management are assholes!

Imagine the market for Long Pork and Face cookbooks. I bet AF and I could publish such a book and it would fetch a pretty penny! The secret is to use lots of garlic and wild onions to hide that distinct smell of seared flesh. What would be the going rate for 10 lbs of shit stuffed in a 5 lb bag and marketed as fertilizer? I bet that would sell out faster than the rate at which I could fill up the bags up.

All this and we weren't even trying. We could have been waaaaay more offensive if only we had known we were being watched.

Seriously, they need to get out more. This site isn't even close to qualifying as a "most offensive" in any category.

You keep misspelling his name, it is Cabron for a reason.

23   FortWayne   2016 Apr 18, 9:18pm

Must have been one of those pictures Dan posts. Amazon isn't super strict on those things, unless there is something like pornography which they don't tolerate.

You can ask them for a response as to "why", they do answer.

24   Y   2016 Apr 18, 10:32pm

Perhaps they would have been more receptive if you were offering Patrick Prime with Free Shitting...
Hmmm..patPrime..5 per month with the ability to un-unignore. Buck an un-unignore.
Discounts for large quantity purchases...

25   Y   2016 Apr 18, 10:34pm

Or is that un-ignore..

I'm especially curious to read why. If the issue resulted from a few photos that many have said the site would be better off without, someone might consider removing those...

29   Dan8267   2016 Apr 19, 8:32am

In related news, Amazon also censors product reviews that mention when Amazon or its partners charge more for a product than other online or offline stores. They absolutely hate that but won't admit that they do it frequently.

30   FNWGMOBDVZXDNW   2016 Apr 19, 9:04am

I'm thinking they have a bot to read the web site and flag potential offenders. There are load of pictures that could have done it, but also discussions on various topics. I hardly blame them for wanting some control over who they call affiliates. Why would they want to risk the negative publicity for the right to give away money? Most of the affiliate programs are a gift, as Amazon doesn't really need the referral traffic.

31   Tenpoundbass   2016 Apr 19, 9:29am

This thread and Donald Trump's fight against the PC Tyranny, has me inspired to come out of the anonymity closet.
I will be updating my moniker with my picture and my screen name as my name.

Well, if PatNet got banned from Amazon because of sexually explicit images, I might as well post a few more from a well-known smut site.

Loveria 9 Inch Thick Waterproof Vibrator with 3th Generation Motor - Purple

Women's Sexy Lingerie Set - take special note of the camel toe right below the Star of David. I'm sure it's kosher.

Halloween Easter Day Festival Party Show Celebration Prop Simulation Tricky Dildo Spoof Funny Penis Grow Male Genitals
And no, I did not make up that completely non-offensive title. I plan on wearing this to Easter mass.

I could go on and on, but some of the stuff on that site would make a sailor blush.

P.S. You don't have to actually log in to see this stuff. So enjoy kiddies!

33   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Apr 19, 9:32am

The Star of David belly button jewelry on the lingerie/garter shot is great. Ha!

34   turtledove   2016 Apr 19, 12:17pm

This must be a week for ridiculous accusations...

I just got a notice from Cox accusing me of downloading Vinyl from HBO and sharing it in violation of copyright law using something called BitTorrent. I've been threatened with a Cox shutdown and possible legal action if I don't stop.

Speaking as the most technically savvy person in my household.... I've never even heard of BitTorrent! I wouldn't know where to begin downloading videos off of HBO. My knowledge about HBO begins and ends with the remote control that operates the cable box... So if it isn't a feature I can perform using the remote control, I probably didn't even accidentally do something illegal. For that matter, I take it Vinyl is some kind of television program?

Does this mean that someone has broken into my Wi-Fi? I've forwarded the note to the IT guy who does all our office stuff, but now I'm imagining someone doing all this stuff using my Wi-Fi while I'm at work.... and I'm trying to figure out how to change the password remotely if that's even possible.

35   curious2   2016 Apr 19, 12:51pm

turtledove says

Maybe, or if your account allows WiFi hotspot access while traveling, somebody may have got that password. You might want to ask Cox if they have any information about where the download allegedly occurred. If Cox got hacked and leaked customer passwords, or if they issued you a bundled WiFi router that can get hacked remotely, then it's the fault of Cox, not you. OTOH, if you chose a weak password, e.g. "12345", you should change it to a strong password with letters and numbers and special characters, e.g. tuRTle1!!dOve.

36   FWinston   2016 Apr 19, 12:59pm

I don't want to rock the boat, so to speak but there are a LOT of people who use dirty words on this website. I mean a LOT. Maybe if you asked them not to swear you could get Amazon to change its mind?

Interesting discussion.

They hit me with the same thing. I don't even have cable. Nor is anyone doing any bittorrents in my house.
