My grand daughter's birthday was Saturday.
The in laws were all Cubans from Orlando.
I asked the Pa in-law who did he have in the election. With a lump in his throat, and slight hesitation. He murmured "....TdrdrOmp!"
I asked who? And he said "TRDRUMP". "Trump?" I inquired. He said said "Yeah" with a firm head shake and scowl on his face, like he dared me to be a StopTrump idiot.
I reached out my hand and said "Welcome to America SIR" to a guy that came to America 5 years before my Dad even met my Mom.
I really enjoyed his company, great guy. We really hit it off. I asked him if a lot of Latinos like him self agree or is he a minority for liking Trump. His wife who was not as enthused with Trump as we are.
Rolled her eyes and said "Gawd Gyess! too many" in a disapproving tone.
I was really glad I met them. I was prepared to be host to a bunch of ungrateful Latin guest that were going to call me Donald Trump, like my SIL can do sometimes.
It seems like Trump polls equally well with every demographic. And in each of those groups there's no shortage who hate Donald Trump.
But they don't represent any group.
Trump supporters are represented with everyone and they are the Majority.
The majority of America stands with Trump. And he's at the station getting on the train.
I heard (CBA to look it up) that 1/5th of Feel The Berners say they won't vote for Hillary under any circumstances, regardless of nomination. A vote for Jill Stein is just as good as a Trump vote.

That sounds good until you realize that 40% of Republicans say they won't vote for Trump. And 20% say they will actually vote for Hillary.

ssshhh. We don't want to upset anyone here.

That's just boogeyman talk.
8 out 10 sour grap voters, never actually show up, they just threaten people who support candidates to negate their vote.
But rationality sets in before election day, and they just don't have the gumption to turn out and vote against someone.
Not when the other choice is someone like Killary Clingon.
Trump is going to destroy her. Those that think they don't like Trump now. Are going to loathe Hillary by time he is through.
Run tell that.
That's just boogeyman talk.
I know. Once you bring the donuts down the YMCA, their minds will change faster than you can say Killary Clingon.
You keep trying to copy my style and you're going to get 11 more ignores.
And 20% say they will actually vote for Hillary.
You say actually, like its some big surprise. She's the most Republican candidate in the race.
If i was a dumb ass republican, i'd be voting for Hillary as well.
As a Bernie voter, i will enthusiastically vote for Trump, if it comes down to Trump vs Clinton. Ive also done much more stumping for Trump, than I have for Bernie.
You keep trying to copy my style and you're going to get 11 more ignores.
Please accept my apologies. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?

Bernie Sanders could steal Trump’s voters — but doesn’t dare

All those disaffected working-class voters drifting to The Donald? Bernie Sanders could have ’em. If he wanted.
Unfortunately for the socialist senator from Vermont, it looks like he’s choosing to sit out this proletariat uprising. Ironically, Sanders may be better suited to attract Donald Trump supporters than Trump is — but his winning issues are a losing bet with the Democratic Party’s base, so mum’s the word.
Still, with the latest polls out of Iowa showing Sanders in a virtual dead heat with Hillary Clinton, it’s got to be tempting.
Sanders’ policy positions and rhetoric have two crucial overlaps with Trump: immigration and free trade. Free trade has long been a bogeyman of the left, but the Democratic establishment has done a relatively thorough job in shushing its blue-collar and African-American base’s legitimate concerns about the influx of cheap, foreign labor.
Sanders knows this: “Many of Trump’s supporters are working-class people, and they’re angry . . . I think [I] can make the case [for their vote],†he said. Basically, Sanders is positing that both candidates’ bases are angry about the same things: job insecurity and a stagnated economy that favors the wealthy.
Even if Sanders decides to make a full-throated play for those voters — white, disillusioned, former or disgruntled Democrats, the base of Trump’s support, according to an analysis by Nate Cohn at the New York Times — it won’t be easy. A recent NBC/Survey Monkey poll found that 84 percent of Trump’s supporters are either “absolutely certain†they’ll vote for Trump or see a “large chance†they’ll swing The Donald’s way.
Jill Stein
I love Jill Stein, but this year the Libertarians will probably be the only independent party on all 50 states' ballots. If former Governor Gary Johnson gets the Libertarian nomination and Bernie Sanders doesn't get the Democratic nomination, then Gary might draw a significant number of Bernie voters.
Donald Trump is the only candidate who speaks candidly about Islam. Hillary Clinton has acknowledged that lethal terrorism "is clearly rooted in Islamic thinking," but her policies have tended to unleash more of it (for example in Iraq, Libya, and Syria).
Meanwhile, the only way to make the 2016 campaign more entertaining would be if somebody chooses Gary Newman as a running mate and campaigns on euthanizing short people.
That sounds good until you realize that 40% of Republicans say they won't vote for Trump. And 20% say they will actually vote for Hillary.
Trump 41%, Clinton 39% http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2016/trump_41_clinton_39
"Trump now has the support of 73% of Republicans, while 77% of Democrats back Clinton. But Trump picks up 15% of Democrats, while just eight percent (8%) of GOP voters prefer Clinton, given this matchup. "
The problem is Trump is riding an historic wave of "Fuck the establishment, Fuck lobbyists, Fuck free trade" sentiment, while Hillary represents exactly all these things.
She is fighting against momentum, and she isn't exactly the type of charismatic leader that would turn things around. The only thing she has is... the establishment says she is inevitable. Well... we'll see about that.
The reality is too many people have underestimated Trump so far, and too many continue to underestimate him.

I saw that one and it's definitely interesting. But Rasmussen has a very poor record--see last Presidential election--so I'd like to see a few more polls that agree before giving it too much weight.
Please accept my apologies. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
No I'm just saying I probably shouldn't be saying the things that I do.
But I do, because it's a fee county and I have a fight to.

I would think it could be more than that. A lot of Bernie backers will not vote for Clinton under any circumstances, assuming that she is the candidate. And Clinton will have to dramatically alter her platform, which I believe she will not do enough to convince anyone. I suppose some Bernie folks might vote for Trump, perhaps as an effort to bring down the system.
Likewise, I think a lot of Republican Trump despisers despise the Clintons even more, and will hold their noses and vote Trump.
It is Trump's election to win.

I think more nose holders than anyone thinks will be setting the election out.
It's the cross overs that are going to count.
Hillary is already acting desperate..
"Bill is going to come out of retirement" She says.
"We're putting the band back together!"
Can you imagine if She wins, She isn't there to share the light with Bill.
She's selling this, but will give them that.
Will Sanders' supporters flock to Trump? Yes.
That sounds good until you realize that 40% of Republicans say they won't vote for Trump. And 20% say they will actually vote for Hillary.
Um, no. I expect at last 90% of them to vote for Trump, and close to zero to vote for Hillary.

lol--I bet you are often surprised that your "expectations" are never realized.
Bernie Sanders is the best gift to the Republicans in over 30 years.
The only way the Republicans can win the Whitehouse is that if at least 17% of Sanders people don't vote at all in the General, then at least it's a same lever playing field.
What Bernie Sanders has done is rip the moderate Democrat thesis that the really cult like Sanders follow will feel like they can't ever vote Democrat again
We have seen this before I might add
lol--I bet you are often surprised that your "expectations" are never realized.
Yeah, Trump keeps surprising me by outperforming his poll numbers!
What Bernie Sanders has done is rip the moderate Democrat thesis that the really cult like Sanders follow will feel like they can't ever vote Democrat again
You're thinking of Trump and the Republican Party.
Fixed that for ya.
The only part of that infographic that was wrong was the 2nd amendment part. I'm pretty sure that Sanders hates the idea of anyone except the government and criminals having guns, just like every other Democrat.
You're thinking of Trump and the Republican Party.
Tea Party got it's wish, they are voting for a Tea Party thesis without losing a Republican status.
Basically taking the major thing Fox or Talk Radio is bad of America and ranting about it
We haven't seen that type of reaction from Democrats, they're more sane.
Bernie people on facebook are just priceless by the way, simply priceless with their logic. The Republicans have their play book against Clinton by just taking Bernie's Point and Bernie Supporters view on Clinton.
Outside that the Republicans have no hope of winning the White House.
So, you want miracles, I give you Bernie Sanders!
Fixed that for ya.
Disagree with a few of the checks and x's, but yeah, compared to Shillary, Trump is a distant second but still far better than the Poster Child for Money in Politics
The bit about arms is total rubbish. Cannons, Tanks, Trebuchets etc. are not arms. Arms are weapons carried by individuals. I have never heard an artillery piece, attack helicopter, or carrier referred to as "arms". The "Bear" bit further illustrates the amendment speaks of individual man-portable weaponry, since you cannot bear an F-15 or Sherman Tank.
We haven't seen that type of reaction from Democrats, they're more sane.
You haven't been a department store womens bathroom in a while I take it?
The only part of that infographic that was wrong was the 2nd amendment part. I'm pretty sure that Sanders hates the idea of anyone except the government and criminals having guns, just like every other Democrat.
You haven't been paying much attention, have you? Sanders is actually much more pro-guns than Trump.

Most people who rank Sanders number 1 have Trump ranked number 5 out of the remaining candidates. Those who have Sanders ranked number 1 and Trump ranked number 2 are at best 20% of Sanders's supporters. For those who disagree and live in SFBA, come down to Santa Cruz over the weekend and take a look around you.
By the way, the Sanders high tax high spend model of social democracy is inevitable and will take hold in a couple of generations if people continue to be burdened by high student loans combined with inability to find jobs that allow for normal self sufficiency. Trump will never capitalize on this angst because simply speaking people with financial difficulties will not trust the king of "You're fired."
people with financial difficulties will not trust the king of "You're fired."
Not true! So stop saying that!
Trump's beliefs are so much more important than his behavior. He loves me - wants to give me a fair shake. I can see deep into his heart, where there is only purity and goodness.
He only fires Mexicans, and he is not a hypocrite for hiring them, either, so stop saying that.
burdened by high student loans
70% of student loan debt is under 14K
3% is over 100K
Don't worry about the educated Americans in this country, they will be fine
Now 30% of Student loan debt are held by college drop outs that makes up the majority of the loans that are delinquent, that group is your trouble group
The rest are fine

Blow says no.
Among Sander's Democrat supporters, 13% have a favorable view of Trump and 86% have an unfavorable view.
