That is a limp fish, i.e. expired. The fish is only flopping because he's moving. The head stays flopped down the whole time.
As anyone that ever lost a Tropy catch before can tell you. You don't present the fish to the camera without your thumb in the mouth or gill.
Grabbing it underneath like that, it would have waddled its way out.

No boubt it still took skill to take the dunk rumage around on the river bed and unteather the fish from how ever they had it secure. It wasn't floating on top of the water. Then come up with it, over his head in one take.
It looks less than three feet of water. I don't think sammon or trout which ever that fish is, would be in water that dirty.
