http://www.politico.com/story/2016/06/benghazi-report-obama-clinton-224854

After more than two years, Republicans delivered a final Benghazi Committee report that ripped the Obama administration's handling of the 2012 terrorist attack — but Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign dismissed the findings as "discredited" conspiracy theories.

The 800-page report was released on Tuesday, and marks the culmination of an investigation that has haunted the 2016 Democratic front-runner on the campaign trail, even as Clinton’s campaign has consistently slammed the probe as a political vendetta. But for all the partisan battling over the probe, the panel's final report — in keeping with Chairman Trey Gowdy's prior statements — offered new details of the attack and the nation's response but didn't focus on Clinton in particular.

Instead, the report drilled down on new details about how Clinton’s State Department failed to protect the diplomatic outpost in Libya. The report also said that the CIA missed the looming threat despite warnings and wrote faulty intelligence reports after the attack. And GOP staff said their findings indicate that the Defense Department did not meet its response times to deploy military assets to Benghazi and follow-up to ensure Americans were rescued in a timely fashion.

The report includes new specifics about a U.S. teleconference convened by White House chief of staff Denis McDonough during the attack. According to the report, some participants on the videoconference were unsure about what each agency was doing to rescue Americans.

State Department officials on the call also brought up concerns about whether Marines who might have been deployed to Benghazi were wearing uniforms, the report found — something officials previously said could hurt diplomacy in the region. One commander told the committee he and his men over the course of three hours kept having to change from uniforms to civilian clothes.

The military never deployed to Benghazi.

For her part, Clinton said he would "leave it to others to characterize this report but I think it is pretty clear it is time to move on."

The case against Hillary on Bengazi is now officially bigger than the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Is that how many years and pages it took to reason that the administration should have done something different? Must be clear as day. She's an idiot for not seeing the correct path in real time. Absolute moron.

2   HEY YOU   2016 Jun 28, 2:19pm

Now Republicans will have time to bring charges against the G.W.Bush & his ilk Administration for failure to protect America on 9/11 & killing ~4500 servicemen based on the WMD LIE.
Republicans love war as long as they don't have to die. They will be glad to send your children to die.
Where did Bush's daughters serve in the war on terrorism?

Trying to be fair & balanced,FUCK DEMOCRATIC VOTERS!

Not this American. I just don't know the big fuss everyone makes over Benghazi. No one even heard of the place before.

Go see the movie "13 Hours", it will be much clearer for you.

They even made a movie about it? If it's a good movie, yes, I would like to see it.

I don't intend to read it. But I am wondering how well it delves in to the republican congress' refusal to fund better defenses for diplomatic stations in Libya.

The teleprompter readers are saying that there is nothing new in it. Of course, they have not read the report. Nor have the folks who wrote the words that the teleprompter readers are reading.

I hear they blamed IHLlary for failing to provide the Middle East with the birth control that would have prevented the conception of the specific terrorists involved.

Two years and seven million taxpayer dollars later comes Tuesday’s final report of the Republican-led House select committee on Benghazi, which adds exactly nothing substantial to the story. Its report contains dozens of pages on the now-famous early statements from the administration implying the attacks were motivated by Arab-world reaction to an anti-Islamic video on the Internet. But even this exhaustive review produces no proof that this messaging resulted from a politically motivated attempt to play down terrorism, as opposed to a genuine factual dispute among State Department and CIA officials, compounded by faulty verbal formulations by then-Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice and other hastily briefed administration spokesmen. And on the most sensitive point — Hillary Clinton’s personal culpability for what happened in Benghazi — the committee came up empty.

12   Tenpoundbass   2016 Jun 29, 6:31am

The report is not a conclusion, it's a ...

"hold off you'll never get anywhere with these dishonest fucks, it's their middle fucking name.
Trump is comming and this is a perfect job for Chris Christie. "

14   Tenpoundbass   2016 Jun 29, 6:52am

So the offical report is that Hillary didn't do any wrong doing, She was just grossly incompetent.
That is the offical stance.

Next time a Smart Ass Judge or Lawyer type tells me Ignorance is no excuse for the Law, we can now say Hillary created case presidence for Ignorance and Incompetence being a full excuse for the law.

Are these facts or not ? I guess if congress is doing dozens of investigations of Hillary, then it can't be true.

17   HydroCabron   2016 Jun 29, 7:35am

Time for a Benghazi investigation retrospective.

What milestones in your family, personal and career life passed during the early years of the Benghazi investigations? And during the later years?

What was it like for those living in reality, where the investigation was known from the beginning to be horseshit? By contrast, what were all the years like for Fox News viewers?

How many of us remember laughing that a political party which couldn't get "who attacked America on 9-11" right for years, nonetheless punished Obama for failing to get the particulars of "who attacked Benghazi" right for 72 hours?

Ah, the memories!

19   HydroCabron   2016 Jun 29, 9:14am

Rice responded, "Well, Mr. Chairman, I took an oath of office on the day that I took this job to protect and defend. And like most government officials, I take it very seriously. And so, as you might imagine, I've asked myself a thousand times what more we could have done. I know that, had we thought that there was an attack coming in Washington or New York, we would have moved heaven and earth to try and stop it. And I know that there was no single thing that might have prevented that attack."

Not only did Rice fail to mention the dramatic warnings given to her by Tenet and Black, she goes on to flatly state that neither she nor the administration had a clue that an attack was coming. Further, she claims that "no single thing could have prevented that attack."

"The July 10 meeting between Tenet, Black and Rice went unmentioned in the various reports of investigations into the Sept. 11 attacks," read the Post report on Sunday, "but it stood out in the minds of Tenet and Black as the starkest warning they had given the White House on bin Laden and al-Qaeda."

Water under the bridge.

So 2966 Americans were killed in Manhattan, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania that morning. That number pales in comparison to the 4 we lost in Benghazi. Four!

She's another. She was prototype for incompetent idiots leading the state department and other high offical possitions.
Plausible deniablity.

Then when shit hits the fan and the competence is called into question they can just suck up to it, and claim gross negligence.

Is that what you want leading this country?

21   Ceffer   2016 Jun 29, 9:34am

The Benghazi-Industrial Investigation Complex needs support for ranting, railing, righteous politicians to scream with red faces while waving American Flags! Any amount of money to continue this sacred enterprise is too little, too late. BILLIONS FOR BENGHAZI INVESTIGATION!

Are you aware that Trump has sent fund-raising e-mails to British, Icelandic, Australian and New Zealand MP's?

Did you notice that Trump's daughter had to tell him to fire his campaign manager? Did you know that Trump didn't know about Brexit until 3 weeks ago? That he didn't know what LNG is?

You're so full of crap Trump announced he was going to visit his resort in Scotland the day after the Brexit, the next day after the Queen endorsed Brexit over 2 months ago.

The queen didn't publicly call it a tabliod lie, she let Buckingham palace spokes people rebuke it. While they Tweeted "Fingers crossed behind our back LOL"

The Queen joked yesterday that she's still alive after the Brexit. She was referring to the rabid Lefts hatred of those that supported Brexit.

Nah, she's joking about the possible coming dissolution of the UK, as Scotland and probably Ireland stay in the EU, leaving a rump Britain and Wales behind.

28   Ceffer   2016 Jun 29, 12:14pm

The Queen wants to go back to the good ole days when everybody but the Royalty were diseased, malnourished, uneducated and impoverished, and suffered entertainingly with the imprints of the royal horseshoe.
