Sorry David Clarke, but hatred is the appropriate response to evil. You are suppose to hate murderers and terrorist organizations. If the police act like terrorirsts an literally terrorize entire communities then hate is the appropriate and inevitable response. Hate, in itself like any other emotion, is not inherently evil. Murder is.
If you don't want people hating cops then
1. Stop cops from committing murder, rape, sexual assault, perjury, planting false evidence, making false reports, and committing other felonies.
2. When you fail to do item 1, prosecute the cops for their crimes in the exact same way you prosecute anyone else. No special treatment. No get out of jail card. No time to get their stories straight. No preferential treatment by the prosecutors, judges, or courts.
Only when the above two reforms are made will cops get or deserve respect. Every time a cop commits a crime, he is responsible for the deaths of innocent cops who were killed by vigilantes. Blame those criminal cops, including the cops who commit crimes by covering up the crimes of other cops, for their role in these deaths.
Blowback is a bitch, but it's something you cannot avoid save by not harming others in the first place.
And no, Don Lemon is not being an asshole here. He's being very reasonable to an asshole.

This will never stop completely; the problem is the "go along to get along" culture that permeates law enforcement, resulting in lot of people looking the other way.
Unfortunately in law enforcement, as well as end private sector, being a whistleblower rarely pays

It's against the law, and severely punishable. Gosh, what more do you want?
Lets stop crime.

Hence item two

Bravo to David Clarke for having the balls to stand up to the propagandists at CNN, and for being a bright articulate man and explaining his position clearly.

Exactly.
Dan lies to make it appear as though cops commit felony crimes on a daily basis.
