Having sold YHOO and ARMH for a profit before their acquisitions, I have some cash to invest.

Looking for a stock with:

* a dividend, no matter how small
* p/e preferably under 25
* more cash than debt
* consistent growth in revenue

Not too picky about the requirements if you can make a good argument. Suggestions?

Interesting.

The investment seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index that measures the investment return of common stocks of companies that are characterized by high dividend yield. The fund employs an indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the FTSE High Dividend Yield Index, which consists of common stocks of companies that pay dividends that generally are higher than average.

I have a stock question. Why doesn't any stock use the symbol ANAL? I mean, if it were a domain name, it'd be snapped up in a second.

I bet if you created any stock with that symbol, it would skyrocket just because of the name.

CCGI for an interesting gamble
HEWA for an interesting gamble
Home builders for the best returns.
AAPL for the safest return.

Thanks!

I like CCGI's revenue growth and potential. A little scary that they are based in south Florida. Tons of scammers there.

Gilead has gone down a bunch. Now their HCV franchise has noweher to go but down, but still generating gobbles of cash. Their HIV franchise is pretty strong and they are sitting on 23 billion in cash. I think it is a good buy-but hey I bought some ESV at 18 and it is now at 8 -LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

CCGI is genuine. I have purchased their car charging product for my electric cars, and was very impressed. I ended up buying 20,000 of their cheap shares as a gamble. In the worst case.....someone will buy them out.

At these prices, it's hard to recommend anything. I'd be looking at oil majors that you think aren't going to cut their dividend.

Yeah, there is probably nothing wrong with T, VZ, GE and some apartment REITS, but I already own those at much cheaper prices so they just don't look all that attractive to me now in relative terms.

Buy low, and sell high. Works every time, EVERY TIME!

I wouldn't touch stocks right now; forward-looking earnings look bad. I'd do a balanced or income fund, but you'll get hit with taxes. I've done well with VASIX and VWINX in my tax-sheltered accounts until the market corrects, and then I'm going into stocks.

Why are we not surprised you brought up your favorite topic. Lonely since Georgie's closed?

Who would want to buy a stock literally named after an asshole? Only Dan and company.
