while there are certainly patriotic Mexican-Americans, the problem is they typically have illegal family members.
its a very complex problem and it's solution is resisted by Latino-Americans. It's an intolerable attitude that results in massive graft.
Comparing California to Mexico is an insult to Mexico.
Mexico doesn't have Republican & Democratic voters.

this IS THE GOAL for the Southwest. Flood the place with Mexicans who are loyal to mexico. Weaken, Faggotize, Feminize the existing culture, eliminate social structure and remove all cultural opposition. the people living there hardly even recognize their own nationhood. then "Liberate".

I would not take too seriously any remarks by a "Professor of Chicano Studies". In fact any major which has the word "Studies" in it is usually bogus.

'A University of New Mexico Chicano Studies professor'- wow, you cannot get more solid credentials then that. Reading a steady diet of Chicano movement writers will give you the most comprehensive world view, knowledge, and grasp of events possible.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A University of New Mexico Chicano Studies professor predicts a new, sovereign Hispanic nation within the century, taking in the Southwest and several northern states of Mexico.
Charles Truxillo suggests the “Republica del Norte,†the Republic of the North, is “an inevitability.â€
He envisions it encompassing all of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and southern Colorado, plus the northern tier of Mexican states: Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
Along both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border “there is a growing fusion, a reviving of connections,†Truxillo said. “Southwest Chicanos and Norteño Mexicanos are becoming one people again.â€
