Haroldo Silva earned his Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from Florida International University (FIU). Haroldos undergraduate research focused on mathematical modeling of cardiovascular medical devices and blood vessels. After learning how cardiovascular disease is just one of the many ailments caused by aging, and that stem cell therapies could potentially cure many age-related diseases, Haroldos doctoral work focused on muscle stem cell aging and differentiation at UC Berkeley.
