The FCC requires AT&T to provide discounted high speed internet service to poor families who are eligible for food stamps. But AT&T is exploiting a loophole in the federal mandate to refuse those discounts to some qualified families. The reason: AT&T says its broadband service in low-income neighborhoods is too slow.

I closed my ATT Uverse account after they insisted they had the right to charge me a rental fee for a 2nd hand modem I purchased on craigslist. No understanding of customer property rights.

Lol sucks to be u poor people.

The solution is simple: Free G5 wireless access provided by the municipality. AT&T will regret overcharging and providing crappy transfer rates.

I want to sue the ship out of these people after Trump wins. They had me with dialup speeds and unpredictable outages for 5 years. Assuring me I had high speed users ever and the bad quality was inside my house. Then last year out of the blue they said they were dropping our area because they can't provide adequate speeds. After 5 years of lying to me saying I had fiber come to find out I have old copper and they have no plans to upgrade.

I want the 4500 I paid back.

I thought there was a already class action due to speed issues.

I only had ATT in California and it sucked ass. Promised 25mbs but usually got 2-12.

Now have Comcast and I'm at like 80+ all the time.

A State-wide ban on Public Wifi is necessary for FREE!dom.

You know, if the people had political will, they could establish a TOR-like public wifi network using smartphones, laptops, and tablets. Ad hoc wireless networking is well over 10 years old.

I bet the politicians would outlaw this if the people did it.

Poor get Obamaphones, section 8, food stamps, free healthcare, many other welfare benefits and discounts. And the rest of us can't ever pay enough taxes for this welfare state. National debt grows in perpetuity, taxes rising, and to liberals it'll never be enough even if all workers were taxed at 100%.

How much more do you want to pay in rent to your landlord when the town jacks up his property taxes to cover that system??

Too energy intensive. WiFi repeaters attached to solar panels. Self-sustaining. No need for electricity.

CIC demonstrating his ignorance once again.

And to put this in perspective, the camera in the above produce uses far more energy than the WiFi.

That's not what you posted you fucking idiot!

Oh, because I didn't post every single detail down to a circuit diagram, you couldn't figure out that you can attach a solar panel to a rechargeable battery.

Quite trying to cover up your stupidity. You made an asinine statement that was easily rebutted and it exposed your ignorance and lack of intelligence. We all know you're an idiot.

17   Dan8267   2016 Sep 9, 7:39pm

Look at CIC trying to change the subject now that he exposed himself, yet again, as a moron. Not man enough to admit you were stupid for implying that solar-powered WiFi would not work?

Let's see what a cursory Google search of "solar powered wifi repeater" returns...

18   Dan8267   2016 Sep 9, 7:44pm

CIC Logic
1. Accuse someone else of being an idiot.
2. Attack a feasible idea from that person.
3. When that person destroys your objection and gives concrete evidence that the idea is feasible as it's already being done, repeat step 1.

This just demonstrates what science has proved, conservatives are dumb cowards. From Psychology Today,

Peering inside the brain with MRI scans, researchers at University College London found that self-described conservative students had a larger amygdala than liberals. The amygdala is an almond-shaped structure deep in the brain that is active during states of fear and anxiety. Liberals had more gray matter at least in the anterior cingulate cortex, a region of the brain that helps people cope with complexity.

This is why CIC was unable to think about connecting the solar panels to a battery whereas it was obvious to us liberals. We can deal with complexity. Conservatives just shit their pants like cowards and can't understand the world. A world full of CICs would have never mastered fire or invented the wheel.

19   Dan8267   2016 Sep 9, 7:54pm

Hey moron. Rent isn't determined by the landlord's expenses. It's determined entirely by supply and demand.

Now stop trying to change the subject and admit that you fucked up with the "I bet they work really well at night." comment. You are such a dumb ass. You aren't fooling anyone, so you might as well admit you were wrong. Man up already.

20   Dan8267   2016 Sep 9, 8:04pm

Honey, the only thing that should be coming out of your mouth now is "Sorry, I was wrong" because it's clear you were wrong that solar power wifi could work at night and every time you try to deflect from that you look even more stupid. Admit your mistake and that you weren't smart enough to think of attaching the solar panels to a rechargeable battery. Look, it's no shame that you aren't as smart as I am. However, it is shameful that you cannot admit it.

Don't try to cover up your stupidity. Just admit you weren't smart enough to understand how a solar power device could work at night. You just sound stupider and stupider every time you try to cover up your mistake.

Look, half the population has to be below the median I.Q. You're just at the bottom. Somebody had to be.

Really, you should be more upset at how ugly you are than how dumb you are. After all, ignorance is bliss, so you must be in heaven.

22   Dan8267   2016 Sep 9, 8:52pm

The use of rechargeable batteries is obvious to anyone who isn't a moron. Don't try to lie and pretend that you were complaining that I did not mention every component of the system when you posted "I bet they work really well at night."

Clearly the statement "I bet they work really well at night." means you didn't realize that a solar power wifi repeater could work at night. Obviously you weren't intelligent enough to think of charging batteries during the day and then discharging them at night. Hell, this is how solar-power garden lamps work. You are such a moron. And you look even stupider every time you try to cover up your mistake.

CIC: I bet these work great at night! No, they don't because the sun doesn't shine in the daytime. I'm so smart.

23   Dan8267   2016 Sep 9, 11:48pm

Let me explain to you how reality works. When you fuck up, you can't just accuse others of fucking up to cover your fuck up.

You had no idea that solar power wifi could work at night because you are a moron. No lies you tell now can cover up that fact. Nor can bragging about shit you didn't do. The fact that you feel the need to prove yourself demonstrates how much of an incompetent loser you are.

Quite frankly, you're being insulting to everyone on PatNet by assuming you can so easily cover your mistake and that they would be so incredibly stupid as to fall for it. Well, they aren't. You are the dumbest person on PatNet by far. The fact that you couldn't even say, "oops, my mistake" and be done with it and instead compounded the stupidity exponentially proves it.

Everyone reading this thread is laughing at you as you try to convince everyone that you weren't so incredibly stupid that you didn't realize that the wifi has to be connected to a battery and not the solar cells directly because a battery gives out a constant voltage whereas solar panels don't. And the more you tell unbelievable lies that you didn't pull a boner, the more foolish you look. So keep it up. I've been laughing all night.

24   Dan8267   2016 Sep 10, 4:00pm

You can repeat your lies as many times as you like, monkey boy. That doesnt' change the fact that you sarcastically and clearly implied that it was impossible for a solar powered wifi repeater to work at night when you posted:

No amount of bullshitting about what you say you've done in real life can cover up this colossal fuck up. Now you could have been a real man and admitted your mistake and that would have been all to it. But instead you kept pilling on lie after lie to cover your mistake looking more and more the fool with each post.

Not only have you demonstrated thoroughly how much of a dumb ass you are, but you have also demonstrated your complete lack of emotional maturity. When given the opportunity to save face by admitting you were wrong, you have repeated failed because you have the emotional maturity level of a five-year-old.

You wanted to make me look stupid but ended up looking stupid yourself. Instead of cutting your loses, you compounded one stupid remark with many others. Yes, you are a moron. Yes, it's obvious. No, there is no longer anything you can say to save face except admitting that you frequently lie and get things wrong because you have no real life and no real friends, and promising that you will seek professional help.

25   Dan8267   2016 Sep 10, 5:49pm

Deflect all you want, you're just bringing attention to the fact that you were completely wrong and can't admit it. What a cry baby you are.

Looks like CIC is running away again now that he's been caught in another stupid lie.
