Sure, there is some irony when people who protest violence get violent. But if non-violent protest were easy, Ghandi et al. would not have been so transformative. Overreacting to protect your tribe is a built-in human characteristic. Overriding that is difficult. That's how we ended up overreacting to 9/11.

The reason that the cops were annoyed with this idiot, is that he's just making their job harder by trying to harass people who are emotionally upset.

I don't take offense. I just see him as an immature idiot troll doing some political theater. He's probably doing it to get attention, but maybe he's really trying to influence people - who knows. If lots of people go out and try to provoke an angry mob, you will get things like this and worse. You can post the videos all you like, but hopefully, you will not base your political views on the worst behavior of a few people. Maybe you do. I don't know.

This is why cops shoot first then ask questions, because our society is this way. Liberals you can't have a different standard for police than you follow yourselves.

This comparison doesn't hold, as the government at any given point in time engages in positive discrimination via its various government-sponsored programs which always exclude those who don't qualify, but it doesn't infringe on their right to be left alone and lead a happy life without being beaten by thugs. That doesn't mean that I am for meddling in other countries affairs, I would agree with you there, but you cannot compare somebody who is against gay marriage to somebody who thinks it's ok to chase down a random person on the street and beat them up.

The major inconsistency in this thread is that righties take the worst behavior of the lefties and pretend it is a character trait of all lefties. They then take the best aspirations of the righties and pretend it is characteristic of righties. This kind of willful ignorance forms the basis of all deplorable bigotry.

I never took the actions of a few Trump supporters as indicative of all. I did judge Trump for encouraging the same tough guy beat the crap out of 'em sentiment that those black protesters were also exhibiting when they chased the screaming piglet down the road.
