Google is trying to block me from going to Patnet.

Thanks for telling me! What's the error message from Google? There are two possibilities:

1. They don't like non-https images on the main page, which is encrypted with https
2. They don't like https://letsencrypt.org/ which is where I got my certificate.

Are they actually blocking you, or just showing you that little red triangle?

Not sure that it's google. I get a message on some browsers, that the site is not set up correctly, that is not securely, but I couldn't tell what the real issue is. IT might have even been about a network or firewall issue at school. I only saw that issue from school, but not on my laptop.

I have a kinda unpleasant choice between copying all photos that anyone links to and serving them on my own site, or letting that browser indicator be red if someone includes a non-https link to a photo.

Serving all photos from my own site would use a lot more bandwidth, and will eventually bump up my costs, not to mention that it might piss off someone who doesn't want the photo shared like that.

I just upgraded to mac os sierra. They don't give any details, I will photo the splash page when it comes up again.

I only see the error in Chrome. It's very annoying!

Chrome on a mac ?

I don't see it in chrome on my PC laptop. OR on my PC desktop. Norton or some other such program ?

I see the lack of the green lock on any page that has some external http image, but aside from that, the site works great on chromium on a mac, android, and iphone.

I am getting the exact same error message using Chrome on a Nexus 7. I was going to mention it to Patrick, but I assumed he already knew about the problem and was going to fix the issue.

@jvolstad but can you use the site, or is it not even possible to use?

I can use the site. I just tell Chrome to ignore the error. Chrome thinks this is a dangerous website.

Edge, on my laptop, does not have a problem with Patrick.net.
