I’m hearing lots of after-the-fact explanations for why Trump won the election. The most common interpretation of events is that many citizens had a view of the country that pundits, pollsters, and the Clinton campaign missed. But somehow Trump accurately identified the mood of the people – especially in the Great Lakes region – and crafted a message to fit their emotions.

Excellent essay.

I'm think Scott Adams is right.

Scott Adams has been spot on this whole time.

There is full employment. He will have to hire undocumented workers to do the roads and bridges, lol. Or they will quite their capitalist created jobs in order to do government work. Or he will put up trade barriers and then there will be lots of unemployed to do the government work. He is an idiot in the making.

Peter P is sad says

Scott Adams has been spot on this whole time.

He kept one foot in the "We WON!" and the other foot in the "I told you that Misogynist Bigot wouldn't win!" Door.

He did take a big chance by half coming out for Trump. But he did keep himself and his reputation tethered to a safety line. And when the Media thought Trump went too far.
Scott was the first one to chime in... "Well I never said I was for Trump, let's look closer at Hillary."

Not very genuine, but he did take a risk I'll say that much. And he was half on the Trump train from the get go.

And I imagine in the short term his stock has gone down with the Liberal Dilbert readers.

I still love Dilbert btw, and still think Scott is cool in my book. But I wont be reading his blog for meaningful insight. He's as confused as we are in life matters. He should consult Dilbert for the answers, I know I do.
