Social isolation was my only problem with the Gig economy.
I'm ten times more productive at home in my office working in my boxer shorts and ripped up T-shirt, Birkenstock and starting a new pot of coffee every 3 to 4 hours.
The first year I worked for the company I am now working for. I completed 5 full featured Middleware apps for them. Then last year I came on as an employee.
I have made changes, updates and new features to 5 apps I created the year before. But I haven't been able to get one major app done. Mostly due to my counterparts not delivering.
The thing is, when you are a remote resource. Companies will part the seas to make sure you have resources you need to complete your deliverables. When you work in the office, every request is placated by meetings. Meetings that ends will lots of promises but nothing ever gets delivered. So I can complete my portion.
Sure I'm having a Social ball at work, but it is not no where near as productive.
