Trump will fix it. Fire the maintenance crew and hire new people. Appoint police to patrol the subways stations and keep the homeless out. Then clean the place up and replace old machinery.

Isn't this the same as every major cities subway system?
Perhaps in the USA. NYC comes to mind. Chicago as well.

Entitlement employment, swollen wages and benefits, and unions allowed to hold the public hostage. Rake, take, and do as little as possible. Who cares if you get mugged in a floating dempsey dumpster on tracks? "Isn't that cute. My li'l Johnny is spray painting the escalator with a gang logo."

You know the system is in trouble when you see the employees wearing parachutes and shock helmets.
Boarding and disembarking are great exercise avoiding the gauntlets of homeless fling-poo.

I rode that same, ill fated BART train, Blurtman. It took me three and half hours, two bus rides, and about two miles of walking to get home. Eventually about an hour and a half after BART dumped us on the street, MUNI arrived. BART did nothing to assist.
I'll rank them according to my experience:
1. By far NYC subway
2. Hong Kong subway
3. London tube
4. Horse and buggy to Kentucky
5. Rosie O'Donnell
6. Paris metro
MARTA and Chicago fit somewhere between 6. and last. There's no prize in contending the worst: tied are BART and LA metro. Commifornia taxes accomplishing reverse socialism as usual.
I rode that same, ill fated BART train
I left the Bay Area in 2000, and the BART is the same as then with a little more wear and tear. I was staying near SFO and BARTing it in to the city. One Civic Center exit had a roped off non-working escalator (a common occurrence) and a narrow set of stairs that were strewn with wet trash. What is wrong with the city?
Just returned from SF. Tuesday I was on the BART to SFO. At 24th and Mission the conductor says "That's as far as we go. Abandon all hope." Confused sheeple shuffle aimlessly until being directed by saner folks towards the stairs. The nearest escalator was being repaired and not useable. Hundreds of folks waiting for the bus in a major rainstorm. Thank goodness for Uber.
The cars are filthy, stained, smelly. The ticket vending machines seemingly from the 1950's; ridiculously unfunctional. The numerous Chinese travelers seemed incredulous about how backwards things are.
Don't the Googlers pay taxes?
