When I see people throwing temper tantrums in the streets and on college campuses because of an election's outcome, it's strange that I would be seen as some kind of mugwump by contrast. I didn't think much one way or the other about the Obama years, but certainly not the point that I was going to throw a hissy fit. I remember one time I asked my mother who she voted for and she said she didn't vote that she didn't really care who was president as long as she was comfortable and I think her's was a pretty good philosophy as she lived to be 94 and drove her car up until three days before she died in her bed at home.

Yes partial credit. Conservatives have been afraid of the rabid Left and how they will stop at nothing to destroy people who profess defiance for their new morality. Many many of us have been afraid to be the nail that sticks up, fearing to get hammered down by a system rigged for decades by the Leftists to do exactly that.
But we do vote, and we don't vote for Leftists anymore. So eventually this ship will be set right and law and order will once again prevail.

Both the left and the right hate everyone else. It's the defining characteristic of conservatism. You are either in my tribe or you are the enemy. There are no other choices.

They have one big thing in common. Both parties encourage government-driven stimulus to encourage spending. The Left claims to afford the stimulus by taxation, the right by tax cut and smaller government, but in the end, both run up debt so massive it can no longer be seen at all.

35 years of recklessness tells them they have nothing to fear. Failure of this form of economics in Greece, Italy, Ireland, Spain, and Portugal shows even when the policies seem to work, the debts are never paid back. It's become 300 percent of GDP in China, and yet all the citizens want to do is get their money out at any price.

However, I have never seen as much shouting, thoughtless anger, abuse, and hypocrisy over fundamentalism as I do from today's Left.

I'm finding the quiet rebellion of the right quite entertaining these days. All of those rust belt Obama Democrats driving the Left crazy with silence and Trump support. The more you shout, the more they hate you.
